Because the entirety of Europe can barely access the site and nothing has been done to fix it. I have to use my VPN just to shitpost on here at the minute.

I believe it came as a temporary solution to another problem, that being that we were getting ultra ddosed these past few days during the soysphere chaos, most likely by a disgruntled soysphere admin or janny lashing out.
