is it just me or are most people focusing only on input (prompts) and output (application, models, agents) of AI while treating gritty parts (linear algebra, matrices, neural networks beyond abstract vocab terms) as a black box or some form of oracle?

regardless of the pro-AI & anti-AI camps. though im a dumbass nigger who never went beyond precal LOL

That's how it usually is, the end user is meant to abstract from most of the inner workings of a software product. That's the part that engineers like me get paid to do. Otherwise it would be like if i went to a burger place and they sold me the ingredients and told me to get fucked and figure it out.

There's trillions of parameters in frontier models, and the people who actually know the inner-workings of AI aren't the ones shilling it on Xitter.

i actually really like the math parts since i was good at this kind of abstract stuff
well i just had a prof say "AI first saw its origins in the 1940s" as if @Zuse was using his Z3 to goon to eva braun in-between aerodynamic calculation programs

The technology that we call AI today has existed for a while. It's just that the computing power to make it practical didn't really exist until now.

There are still people that treat things created with AI as "created BY ai" like it's some sort of separate entity like a robot from a movie

why hasn't saudi arabia invaded yet
I know they've been involved in yemen for years now but a simple ground offensive would probably end the yemeni civil war

They basically did but the saudi army sucks because it's basically a cheap mercenary force of pajeets and riddled with corruption and nepotism.

What pisses me off is that because of this retards cannot comprehend that we literally invented computers and machines after ourselves and our own actions and that AI works on exactly the same principal as our brain but just in a specialized way
