Fucking grim how this site still hasn't managed to match the sheer energetic madness of late-2024 Shlog. I barely posted in comparison to now, and I was always guaranteed a notification ping nearly every three minutes regardless of the time of day, it was just that fucking active. Not to mention how much happenings there were on the daily, how much of a breeding ground it became for "site kulchur" and the sheer diversity in both discussion and faces. It felt like every other day had a huge thread that became the center of attention, and I don't mean like now where it's some gay shit in some /cw/ thread, but rather actual original fresh chow to sink your teeth into.

Without a new namefag to rally around like Soygoy to both supply and create drama alongside OC, I don't think we'll ever get to that point again. There just isn't enough content to source OC from, so I can't exactly do that. And to add, everyone is so relaxed and familiar with one another now that true drama is practically impossible.

Now that I think about it, furfaggotry has always been an underlining theme in drama from then up until now. I wasn't around for the initial few months of the Shlog so I can't speak of if that was the case or not but that's certainly something strange to note.

We've been saying this since last October during the slowest Shroom months historically. While yes, it's proven itself as actually aiding site activity with the Cacacaust, it's also proven fatal with user retention amongst new users tanking repeatedly within their first 100 posts. There simply isn't enough going on to keep people coming back, and with how loud and fast the Boorum is now, those same users end out gravitating there for that constant grab of user activity and drama to keep up with.

Just remembered when I made an alt named "Soygoy" within minutes of him changing his name to "The Ruler of Everything" and getting my IP posted by Froot in one of the /anthro/ generals. This was after some drama or another I forget about caused him to get ticked off and mistake my fake account for his real one. I leaked at him in DMs later that night, where he then basically stated "Not my fault." alongside an image of Pepe holding a wine glass with the caption "Fuck Niggers".Artificial drama is gay and I'd get bored of it in a week.
