Just went on Know Your Meme, I sometimes go there to get context on some new brainrot I don't get or something like that. I find it usefull despite it being a very overtly liberal hellspace. Why is it filled with goonerfuel ? Why are half the posts real womenme girls, and half of them NSFW ?

I sometimes use reddit too, it's useful to get news, or to follow some stuff, even if the people there are insufferable dummys who think of themselves WAY too highly.
Why are half the accounts 18+, and a good tenth of the posts I see NSFW ?

When the 4cuck immigrants came to the sharty, I visited /biz/ and /tv/, as I thought these boards would be interesting to look at.
Why the fuck was it filled with porn ?

What's the problem here ? Like I get that prostitution and gooning have always been around, but is it just me or has the internet exacerbated the problem, and has it actually gotten worse over time on the internet as well ? Why is it getting worse and worse each year ? What's the deal here ? I don't fucking get it.

Porn = funny is a very prevalent topic on KYM. I assume most of the mods are gooners because most of the goonfuel doesn’t even have a punchline. Basically it acts as a booru for both memes and borderline porn, pretty degenerate stuff.

Seems to me it's not just a case of these website specifically having problems, rather than it being a general problem linked to the internet and how people used it.

This most likely, and the fact that it’s becoming the norm to indulge in said material and spread it in the form of “memes” or whatever else.

There's probably some intersection with other variables too.

I remember this chart that showed that apparently, nearly a third of gen Z are LGBT or something along those lines ? Which is insane, literally a third of our population.
This for sure has something to do with the consumption of porn online, as this generation was raised online, and I can't fathom the consequences this will have for the next generation if we don't course correct.

But I think that the modern political discourse and culture also has an effect most likely. The fact that in the late 2010's, legacy media, which still is dominated by the left, shifted it's focus from classical feminism to LGBT politics, and especially in regards to children education and transgender politics, probably also had an effect on this. For unsurpisingly, the biggest supporters of pornography are also the biggest supporters of sexual freedom in all it's forms, and therefore LGBT politics as well.

But then again, 4chan was a right wing website back then, and it was also in full support of porn too. And Tumblr banned porn while being left wing. This is a bit confusing, maybe it doesn't have anything to do with politics and is just really an interaction between human nature and the freedom of the anonymosity found online. Something something Ring of Gyges.

That said, this would mean that the internet is in and of itself a great argument to showcase the Ring of Gyges argument right, and the overall argument that the human nature has a tendency towards evil.

Internet has made porn exceptionally easy to find. And as we know, porn is a drug. Which means a huge amount of people on the internet would be easily hooked when a new dose is just one search query away. This also normalises the consumption of porn, which in term creates more porn addicts, creating a perpetual cycle of goonshit.
