you should always be cautious with visions since the devil can easily create them but if you're certain that you actually saw Jesus in a vision I'd recommend you to start going to Church

Just read the bible and everything to fix will come to light, id probably recommend starting with the book of John

I didnt have any visions, but it was like another person was literally talking to me spiritually. As i said i never had this happen to me before, it was scary but i'm sure it was Christ himself calling me. For the next months after this i got certain that God exists as he proved his existence to me multiple times. He could've left me in darkness but he didn't. I'm gonna start reading the bible in my free time i think.

Make sure you pray over it and read the bible, if it truly was the lord i dont think there is a way to know, but if positive things came out of this experience then sure something good must have enlightened you! Its best to start reading the bible yes, but be careful with influencers or people online interpreting the holy word of God as they see fit, always use your better judgement and ask for gods help to guide you, or if you end up going to church you can talk with the pastor If this is actually something that happened to you and you are serious then im glad you found happiness and the path to salvation

you should start going to church as well
the bible isn't a simple book, many people can take verses out of context or apply their own flawed interpretations on certain passages (usually to support their political or theological opinions)
since the church also recites the bible and offers the sacraments (such as communion), if you're serious about your experience i sreal womangly recommend you to attend a church, honestly of any denomination as long as you're not from the US
and always be cautious of false prophets, or obscure denominations, I'm saying this out of love
