Most mentions of "love" in My Twisted World for example are mostly followed up by, or following mentions of sex and appearance BUT beneath the surface of blonde, "beautiful" women, there are excerpts where he shown that he did just want some form of a connection with another for the sake of making up for his lacking self-worth.

Sure they "survive and thrive" physically, but can you truly state that many share the same thriving attitude inside of their own head? Genuine social lives are negligible things in the modern day - I would know - but that doesn't mean that "throwing it away" doesn't have any consequences. It catches up with you.
