Kings Hawaiian Rolls are overrated

I genuinely do not understand why people glaze the shit out of these things. Since when was it a thanksgiving tradition to have them? Since when was it a Christmas tradition to have them? They're very ordinary processed rolls. I would rather have a more hearty or buttery type of roll
