Stories from me and beyond

I don't have a life interesting enough to document every day of, so I'll just post some stories about odd or interesting things that happened to me or any other interesting thing.

To start off, a few days ago I was trying to enter my physics class before the bell so I wouldn't be considered late. As I got to the door, one of my classmates was like splattered against it with her whole body, almost as if she was hugging the entire door. I never knew this girl as odd, she's one of the kind who sits next to her best friend and takes Snapchat pics together the whole class. She was blocking the door as the bell was about to go off so I crossed over to the side with the handle and just asked her "What's up, what are you doing?". She immediately got out of her hugging stand and just stood straight up and stared me dead in the eyes. After a second or two I just opened the door by force, gently forcing her to step aside. I entered and sat down. She came in as soon as the bell rang and as she passed by me, she was staring at me. Odd.

Marco polo wrote extensively about his travels in the east.
In Iran, he has met and learned from the Old man of the mountain, an Imam who ruled over a castle as a part of the Nizari Ismaili state in the medieval 13th century. This sect of Shi'a Islam, famous for their political and strategic killing tactics, is the namesake for the English word Assassin. The Hashashins.

A story was told about the accosting of a crusader envoy, threatening the castle.
The envoy, discussing with the Old man of the mountain within the high castle, warned that the massive Christian army would be capable of bringing the whole place down due to their superior numbers. The old man simply pointed towards a high wall on the side of the castle, with an Assassin standing up top. The old man said "This castle will never fall to you, your army may be larger, but my men will do anything I command and will sacrifice everything for victory". As they were both looking at the assassin on the edge of the wall, the old man gave a hand signal, and just like that, the assassin jumped to his death. Another assassin then stepped into the place where the other was before jumping, the hand signal was given again, and he too, hit the ground. The envoy left the castle with his jaw on the ground, and the Crusaders never attacked the castle, and their presence in the middle east was subsequently wiped out.
