I used my dads macbook pro (with a my own user account). Even tho I was quite young, I had to use the terminal to download shit like cloning a git to install any 3rd party app not on the appstore so the experience wasn't pleasant. The macbook would keep crashing and freezing over opening simple apps and it would burn your lap due to it overheating. Also whenever I would install bluestacks it crashed my entire OS and now the battery is fried (since it doesnt turn on at all) so its essentially a brick unless I replace it but the screws are proprietary so all of my screwdrivers ain't compatible.

Even when you plug it into the outlet? Because if so that's not the battery. It could probably be the motherboard's that completely cooked. Also which specific model was this?

Yes, and I plugged it using every charger and wire and it doesn't show any signs of life. It's a 2016 Macbook pro without the touchscreen bar

Sounds like a motherboard issue then. Pretty hard to fix as well since every single component is soldered down, the average user is practically completely incapable of ever hoping to repair one of these machines on their own. If I'm going to be honest with you I like the 2010-2013 MacBook Pros, since those were made around the time before Apple started making these machines unfixable.

installing an app just takes going to their website, downloading the dmg, opening it, and dragging the app into the applications folder. also i've had mine on my lap and it doesn't even feel hot, i think since apple moved to their own chips macs have been overall better than intel macs. i think your problems where just you being dumb at the time, since its the most easiest thing to install an app. but aside from the bricking of the laptop i guess that's just the computer being shit
