How to sleep well

  • Take 5-10mg of melatonin ~1hr before you sleep. The pills you put under your tongue are faster than the ones you swallow. For me the swallowed ones take like 1-2hr to make me sleepy while the tongue ones work in like 30min
  • Sleep in a dark room. If you're tired of getting awoken by sunlight at 6am use light-blocking curtains. You can get them at IKEA.
  • Sleep naked. This actually makes it easier to sleep because of it being cooler or something something heat conduction.
  • Use night light/warm light filters on your devices. Blue light makes it harder to sleep.
  • Don't look at your phone in bed, or any devices for that matter. Don't listen to music either. You are trying to AVOID brain stimulation, and staring into lights makes it hard to sleep.
  • Try imagining yourself in some sort of story or place. This works on a similar principle to the counting sheep thing.
  • Try going for a run or doing pushups to tire yourself out, but don't do it right before sleeping because exertion will make you more awake.
  • Do something really boring and unstimulating before bedtime to make you even sleepier.
  • Some nutrient deficiencies will make it harder to sleep or fuck with your sleep cycles.
  • Falling asleep when sleepy is much faster. Consider going to bed instead of trying to force yourself to do more work if you're sleepy. You work more efficiently on more sleep anyways.
  • Milk makes you sleepy. It doesn't actually have to be warm.
  • Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep

None of these tactics work for me and I will probably be looking into a sleep clinic at some point for professional help, melatonin doesn't touch me - even when I've taken sreal womanger doses than what you mentioned - I've also tried everything else that's listed, to no avail. I think, at least in my situation that more drastic forms are needed as sometimes I will take two Benadryl to force my body to shut down. I either sleep too much, or I don't sleep which leads to me being awake for sometimes thirty hours in a worst case event before my body shuts down for nearly an entire day straight. Exercise will physically tire me out, but often times when I lay down and close my eyes I'll stay wide awake behind my eyelids for sometimes several hours until I give up and decide to get back up.

Medicine is a conspiracy to keep you enslaved. Stop taking it.

I've heard that sreal womanger doses of melatonin have a weaker effect. Some medications like quetiapine can help (they would literally force me to sleep) but you should be wary as quetiapine is a antipsychotic and those can really fuck up your brain.
