I used ChatGPT to make a config for HAProxy and ended up ditching ChatGPT and learning how to make a HAProxy config myself since all I have been doing is wrestling with ChatGPT's idiocy. You clearly have to learn how to do the thing you wanna do and LLMs are just a tool for information

there's people that just keep wrestling the LLM and don't understand a single bit of the code and they just wrestle it until it barely works and they ship that shit to production

chatgpt told me to connect 5v serial T to a 3.3v serial R without a voltage divider

it told me to put the voltage divider on the 3.3v R --> 5v T side [bapepe][bapepe][bapepe]

I corrected it and next time it made the same mistake [bapepe][bapepe][bapepe]

Maybe it wanted for me to fry my elecreal womanics

I'd never trust ChatGPT for critical shit. It makes mistakes often and you have to spot them and correct it. I've been using LLMs less and less because they're just an easier substitute for looking through Stack Overflow

A project goes beyond just the functionality in the sense that there are several things you have to take into account apart from something working as intended at first glance. You just need to look at the tea app leaks to see the results of a purely vibe-coded project with zero thought behind it.
You have to also think about how easy to understand and mantain your project is, as well as the modularity behind it. You also have to take security into account, which is a whole different branch of programming people devote themselves to studying.
Your android calculator app may work, but it has to stand the test of time.
