The rich resort to copying what their parents or people around them fought for when they were kids being social justice and climate change in the 80s 90s and early 2000s of course they fail to realize these movements already bore fruit ending segregation and allowing acceptance for gays so the modern movement is just the bloated remains of what was.

I think it's less about copying (since tons of libshits have rightwing parents) and more about inventing problems/trying to feel good.
Poverty is because the heckin capitalists, not because we import more people than we can deal with and then incentivize them to do nothing to better their situation. Saying that we shouldn't take so many "refugees" or we shouldn't pay people for keeping themselves poor feels bad, so they cope about it.
