kenshi is such a gem. My favorite start is the wanderer start because you start out in the hub, and if you pay attention, there is a lone shack in the hub that has two beds, items that constantly respawn, a chest and no owner.
My favorite thing to do with the shack is kidnap people and cripple their legs so they can't run away from what i've nicknamed "rapeson's shack". From there i slowly cut off their limbs while using them as punching bags to level up early skills and collect their amputated limbs in the shack's chest as trophies. Fun times

drawback to this is that you have to buy a fuck-ton of first aid kits since people bleed a lot every time they lose a limb but it's still sustainable with the respawning items.
