The sharty was never meant be /qa/. /qa/ was more than just 'jaks and while some aspects of it's NAS culture still prevail in the sharty it was never meant to be a successor, because number one it was made before /qa/ was locked and number two, as Soot himself said "soyjaks must be in every thread".
I honestly see no point in comparing /qa/ to the sharty, or even to the early sharty.

I am fully aware of the fact that the sharty was created before /qa/ was locked. /qa/ was the best place on the internet, and I don’t think anything else has even come close since (and I doubt anything ever will). I made this thread because I wanted to vent about the fact that the closest thing we have to it has moved so far away from what made it as good as it was. Comparing them is definitely relevant since /qa/ often gets referenced on the sharty and during raids.

it's just a rallying cry, in reality it's like comparing Rome and Russia. I also believe that places have to evolve or change in some way, otherwise they become sad and soulless like 4cuck.
I understand that /qa/ is gone, i did years ago. But in the time i've spent rediscovering the sharty after a long time i learned one thing, and that is that the sharty is still one of the most fun places to be on the internet right now. Nowhere else do hundreds of chuds gather all at once to make fun of real women/degenerates/whatever and raid them like on the sharty.
