Caesar is an egomaniac. Why else would he make a whole faction about his autistic interests and name it after himself. The Legion is a shit faction anyways especially when the developers of New Vegas didn't have time to flesh them out

Also this will be the hottest of takes but I hated the NCR in Fallout New Vegas. They are so fucking cringe and I never do the NCR route because of this. Obsidian butchered a gemmy faction from Fallout 2 into some bland generic faction. How they were portrayed in the show is less cringe

Thing is he always had an intended successor with lanius. The show suddenly retcons it into the skeleton of Caesar holding a note that says he wants the legion to die with him. For no fucking reason. By the way the legion is all entirely white men, not a single noob even though it wasn't like that in the games. It's very subtle messaging like that why I hate Hollywood because it's very clear what the message there is with what they plan to do with the legion.

House or Yes Man is the best ending. I haven't done Caesar before since I stopped playing with my melee only character before I got to the fort for some reason

It's not about who the successor is, it's about the intention. The entire point of the legion's march west was to carve out their own Rome in Vegas so the legion could continue to exist as a society and forge their own identity even after Caesar's death

This single note about him wanting it to die makes everything fucking pointless

The legion has basically been reduced to a bunch of raiders with no other purpose.

The easiest way to make it function is by emulating the fallout 3 tone/aesthetics and writing an entirely new narrative with new characters, totally removed from the games.
