i dropped my son off at synagogue yesterday and was concerned about why he did not meet me at the car after service was over. my rabbi approached the vehicle and said he had been "taken care of". i felt very uneasy after hearing this and called the police. when they arrived, they found my son handcuffed in a ditch behind the synagogue. his body was completely charred, apparently the rabbi doused him in lighter fluid and then got other congregants to stone him, all because my son told the rabbi he was confused about his sexuality. now my son is dead. is this an appropriate application of jewish law?
