When I had ten I had a proper panic for the first few hours because I thought just once of what might happen if I were to get caught, and from there my brain ran laps around itself for an hour hyper-focusing on it, not aided by the fact that every minute felt like twenty. The last two coming down were wonderful though. I distracted myself with videos and the like, but I just couldn't find comfort because every small thing in my body was being over-saturated ten-fold. If I felt any discomfort, it was overwhelming. Any comfort, and I was smiling ear-to-ear like a giddy child, melted into my blanket. If you let it, you can really turn your thinking into a pattern similar to those carnival "death domes" they drive motorcycles around in. The only real method I found to soothe myself with the franticness was to type out my entire line-of-thought into my blog thread like a rattled dummy, which I since deleted because it was ridiculously embarrassing to read back. As this all came into effect in the first hour or so though, I was reading The Book of the Subgenius which grown both increasingly hard to read and equally hard to focus on, so I went on my laptop.
There's next to no visuals even at high amounts. Lights and colors might shimmer or brighten, but that's about it. When I hit the peak of the ten the only visual I got was a minute period where my entire vision went fuzzy, and a bunch of visual floaters starting gathering together and slowly creeping to the centre of my vision, making it incredibly hard to see. After it hit the centre one large translucent "fuzz ball" faded into what felt like an inch away from my face and then slowly faded out alongside everything else. During this time I found it hard to sit and settle, and I kept walking around my bedroom and sitting and standing around the place until after ten minutes of this just going back to collapsing into bed and posting on here.
For the last two hours I felt as if I wanted to kiss the ground in thanks for it being over, although I could not get comfortable for the life of me, and shimmied about for a while whilst watching YouTube. There was a few occasions where I had to speak to my parents, and it was a fucking pain to speak. Every word was being mulled over on the fly as to not sound shitoko and my brain couldn't settle on delivery, tone, wording, nothing. So I ended out mostly mumbling my way through sentences whilst describing in half-detail what I was doing. For example my mother came in to notify me that she was going to the pub with my father, and I was sat upright at the top of my bed on my laptop. "Mmm, y-yeah I'm uh... just online and uh, looking at shite yeah.." was my response to her going out, and then when she asked me to keep an eye on the fire and keep it lit, I just zipped my mouth shut and nodded before rolling over in bed and hiding my face, because during all this I was thinking of every possible way I could be found out, what could happen, how it would happen, ad infinitum. I suppose some more details to add, my stomach felt quite uneasy but not once did I vomit in spite of chewing the seeds directly instead of pussy-footing around it with other methods of intake. It lasts the entire trip, which at ten was about sevenish hours.
BIG NOTE but bring fucking water, I was dying of the thirst for the entire seven hours, and I managed to guzzle down a liter an hour. All the while I was trying to minimize my intake due to being absolutely terrified beyond belief to leave my room and take a piss in fear of getting caught. As I said already with saturation and the like, I was completely overwhelmed with said fear until I once again soothed myself and went to take a piss once my parents left.
The "cool-down" "hangover" whatever the fuck was wonderful after the ten though. I awoke the next morning just feeling both relieved and calmed to my core. Ended out watching Heavy Traffic by Ralph Bakshi and going on a walk, still just so relaxed in my own skin that it was over and whatever blow-back I was feeling now, was only pushing it further. My thinking was crystal clear, and I had a long discussion to myself over a voice-memo on my phone about counter-culture, which I wrote snippets of in the "random thoughts" thread. It's hard to describe it but everything just felt charmingly odd and clever. Loved it.
