I liked baldi since i was a caca back in 2018 and played baldis basics plus in 2020 when it launched
The reason it's getting popular is because they completely butchered it and gentrified it for cacaots to enjoy, they're making it quirky cacaot slop now because the real life soyjak who made it has no idea what made the original game explode in popularity so he took the easy way out and removed all of the ""horror"" and what made it good
The setup in the original game was incredibly good, the exaggeratedly happy teacher that talked in this slow dummyed voice suddenly going quiet and slowly coming to beat you to death with a ruler while slapping it menacingly because you got some fucking garble wrong actually caught you offguard the first time, on top of that the artstyle was really unique and fit perfectly with what it was trying to be, a parody of horrible 90s educational shitware
Now in baldi + (the new game) nothing is there, instead of wanting to kill you baldi is "playing hide and seek" and every purposely shitty quality aspect that made the game somewhat funny and gave it it's style was reduced or removed for some QOLslop that looks nothing like the educational games the game was meant to parody
Also mystman12 has to be the laziest developer of all time, noob has less output than a mojang employee
The only reason the game has survived is because of mods too, there are year long content droughts where mystman literally does nothing and then he takes 2 months to add one more png character that acts the same as every other

i don't mind baldi's basics plus
doe i do hate the extra shit that was added (match machine, balloon bullshit)
imo i think bb+ was alot better in it's earlier days (0.1 - 0.4)
