No but seriously, 5% - 10% of the broom threads are any kind of informative or serious discussion while all the rest are shitposts or useless garbage that gets even on my nerves.
Most of the threads that would get me crucified if I posted them here get 100s of reppies over there.

Froot was an asshole, but he was right to shut it all down when he did. The schlog would have been shut down 5 times over if it was ever as bad as the broom. And thank God that he did because if he didn't shut it down and we were all still on the schlog and owned by the purple dummy now things would have gotten a hundred times worse than they were back then. The fact that fucking Jimbo thought it was bad enough to quit should be a wake up call.

On the topic of the shroom itself, the problem with this site currently is that it no longer has any unique identity. No more oc, events or art contests, most the fun just evaporated. Now it's just used for metawhining, and there are dime a dozen splinters to whine over the state of the main sites. This is just kind of a swinny now.

I try to avoid metawhining nowadays because it's exhausting, and honestly if it was up to me i'd have it completely banned. But sometimes some things have to be said.
Shroot is right in that the way forward if this site wants to survive more than a year is to become a more serious alternative to the broom and to copy kiwibrap homework. I honestly believe the sharty thread on there would be a good start to spread out but the problem is that it's currently a janny circlejerk where musdummy and quote go to get their tbps stroked by all the 2026 nusois larping as oldcaca there.

Yeah, it was terrible but in a so bad it's good way. Kinda had a charm to it minus moon deciding to unban those kinds of people. The broom just feels like a slopfest in terms of chatting around.

I feel like the problem is that everyone is too serious and obviously trying to be a louder attentionwhore than the next due to overcrowding. Even the obvious bait feels too sweaty and tryharded.

One thing is for certain. I am absolutely never using the shitty.clitty again until some admin comes along and executes a purge that kills 80% of the site and leaves it at froot levels of pph, but makes it usable again. Or shuts it down at which point good grief.
