I remember he was telling me about a new starfox game that he cant wait for, and I told him its literally gonna be the same as the n64 game and he started coping so.fucking hard

Sega had a rail shooter series on the Saturn. They were able to make 4 distinct great games, one of which being a legendary RPG. Nophono cares.
Nintendo has a rail shooter series. They’ve done nothing but remake the same game 5 times and axe the one game that actually had a different story. ZOMG BEST GAME EVER NINTENDO CAN DO NO WRONG

Yeah just because Nintendo has made great games in the past it doesnt mean that all of their other games cant be absolute shit, which is what nintendo fans dont get

This is true btw, people act like its the greatest game of all time when its not even a top 5 zelda game. The series works a lot better in 2D than it does in 3D, I still need to play the Minish cap some day.

i think the 3d games are just as good as the 2d games. oot just isn't that great compared to every other game before and after it.

They aren't, after OOT the games started to take more of a puzzle approach instead of an action approach like the prior titles. Also combat in 2d is much better than the lock on crap they do later in the series, I even prefer like Zelda 2 to OOT.

you're missing out then. F-zero isn't really like the average racing game. It's more like trying to race a spaceship.

I played the N64 and Gamecube ones a little bit, I've just never gotten to that leg of retro gaming. They are very large time investments overall since it takes a lot of time to git gud. I've mostly been trying to clear Mike Tyson's Punch Out these days.

I like Twilight Princess the most.
