Literally neither population nor territory matters when you have gorillions of dollars of free American money and tech at your disposal.

Iran had to build everything by itself despite massive sanctions. It's nuclear program is a product of nobody but itself. The engines inside their suicide drones are made from recycled Chinese motorcycles for fuck sake. When you have bootleg gear, it's impressive to have even gotten as far as they have.

The best outcome in my eyes is that Iran throws a nuke together and immediately uses it on Tel Aviv (Fattah hypersonic missiles are super expensive but ironed dome-proof) and then America comes in and kills all of the regime members and replaces the government with a democracy.

I get that, but doesn't it feel like slightly humiliating to have an arch enemy that is so much smaller than your country? How do you take iranian nationalism seriously when you can't beat a country so much smaller than your own, regardless of how much external funding they get?

People who thoroughly understand geopolitics know that size is ultimately superficial and population is as well considering the only fighting happening is jets vs missiles.

At that point it's almost exactly like Iran vs US.

From what I've seen doe (and forgive me if this is wrong) iranians, including the state, often talk about israel as being their enemy, and not the us. How do you take the anti israel protests and such seriously? It would make more sense from my perspective to view america as the enemy and israel as their attack dog.

Yeah I think you are a bit uninformed. You can look up the phrase "Great Satan and little Satan" if you want to learn more, but to put it simply, in most of the government media and in the opinions of about half of the people of Iran, especially the more conservative areas like where I'm from, America is seen as the "Great Satan" and Israel as the "Little Satan". Indeed, America is seen as the national manifestation of western imperialism and treachery, while Israel is a product of their evil, which directly harms everyone in the middle east. In most of the other half, people don't care much about these politics and just want to live in peace and want the sanctions to stop because they utterly fuck the economy and currency value. A smaller subsection of that second half actually actively are against the regime and hate it, and some of those guys actually want Israel to kill the leaders for them. My mother is like this. She says that she doesn't want the country to become a failed state like Iraq and Syria (which it's now on track to becoming) but at the same time she "Loves to see these motherfuckers [Iranian senior officials] die"
