the chick mentioned alfred alfer and even though i hate it i must say its like way better than this shit, at least it shows shit accurately grotesque like how it actually feels like and says more than "um your trauma makes you feel le bad". i remember watching an interview by emily youcis before she went full schizo and she said it was about how sexual assault victims tend to hide towards escapism and it doesnt just show mental denial but also the political side where they often side with extremism (which ironically she ended up becoming herself) due to being radicalized with trauma which people often refuse to talk about, and as shitty as the execution was at least it was saying more than the current indie bullshit the average pooner spews out especially for a time where people werent making heckin comforting nostalgia webshows about how i got raped yesterday.

I mean it's not too bad, but it doesn't really speak to what it's actually like to live with bad memories and pain like that. It's like yeah i know what self harming is what do you want to give you a medal ? And it's so overdramtic i don't knwo how you could watch bayani cutting without laughing, a good example of protraying something grim with like a silly cartoon animal is that one bird animation where it sips the yellow droplets and slpwly gets more snd more decprepit. it makes me a bit demotivated because if i ever decide to make art that isnt just self indulgent autistic bullshit (drawing nurse gollum again and again) and decide to make something with a purpose behind it its probably gonna be super bland and shit and superficial just like these because i suck at execution and im not really creative at all and if this is what people with actual talent are making i probably will just make the same shit but worse
