Apollo's shack

A thread where I posts my OCs and general SNCA. Now on /blog/ and with more ramblings.

Article image for this because I thought it looks really nice and personally my favourite drawcacay image I've made.

I kinda hate going through the 'old' parts of my phone's gallery and PC hard drives. I don't want to dwell on nostalgic feeling too much, but seeing old photos on these things genuinely made my heart warm, but again I feel kinda guilty for feeling nostalgic seeing these photos, like "what the hell, what am I doing, you know these good moments ain't gonna comeback, so instead, why not just look at the present make even better moments and memories?" My mind always feels this way whenever I enter those parts of these things.

SNCA fact of the day: I spent about 6 hours looking for the high quality version of the background used in 0:09 like an idiot. I mean I did find it, but that high res version was hosted on a free stock photo website that was shutdown about 2 or 3 years ago. In the end I just used a shitty low res thumbnail version that looks slightly different than the original. There's one that is technically the original and is slightly higher res than the one used in the video, but the thumbnail on it practically begged you to pay for it, which I can't because the damn place that hosted the high res version fucking shut down more than a year ago.

There is also this thing. One that when I spend more time working on it, the more I hate and love it. Is it because drawing stuff in adobe animate is pretty shitty, or is it because I treat adobe animate like it was paint.net? Either way, I do like how this thing looks so far, it almost got canned multiple times due to me losing interest (and also because of another SMV in the works, although that one got canned).

Surprisingly, this SMV itself hasn't been abandoned yet. For something that should have been released in April now ended up probably releasing in November. There are only about two or three scenes left to finish and then after that I'll do some polishing. A huge thanks to @RandalSoy for helping me get this far, she he helped on some of the backgrounds used here.

One day I visited Nophonobooru because I was curious about the site and kinda bored. I made a drawcaca request thread there. There's surprisingly a lot of requests I got, well, a lot for a literal who like me. I only finished 3 drawings, aldoe I had plans to finish more requests but the damn site got shut down. Not even a damn week.

First image is Norman (I think the full name was Norman Foster Nolan if I remember correctly), Nophonobooru's Natejak. This particular design with duct tape on his mouth was made by @Fei Rong, or at least someone who had the same name and claimed to be the same person anyway.

Cleaned up this Norman drawing and changed it to Nate, and also gave it some shading.
