I hate when people talk about knowing how to cook
This isn't a fucking magic, you just find a recipe and you follow it
People that "know" how to cook do exactly the same
You literally have step by step guide and you do that
There are no knowledge you need to have to be able to cook

idk some people seem to be unable to reliably make anything edible past one or two simple foods. like my dad for example

Or they didn't followed the recipe and cut some corners or something
