The sharty should have been made in 2011.
It wouldn't work. The internet was "edgy" for lack of a better term, but it wasn't yet cynical in the way that it is now. I feel like the posts would come across as more people embodying the soyjak in a tongue-and-cheek manner, rather than outright mocking it, and yes, there is a difference.
And because they weren't pretentious enough to be hipsters, not big enough losers to be perceived as neckbeards, or assholes in a similar way to Eltingville, and didn't start becoming socially relevant until 2013-2014-ish?
It would be more like this:
Shitty MS Paint comics where people are trying to emulate Three Angled Blue's style while talking about how they have the most "awesomest rad gaming console" when suddenly something unbelievably wacky and random or silly happens. I feel like it would quickly turn into a circlejerk, only for the website to get raped during the Gamergate era.
But at the same time, I can't imagine how some people would go about a parody imageboard prior to Shrekchan, and I wasn't there for it firsthand.
