Thing with Minecraft offshoots is that you could replace them with an entirely new and different IP and nobody would notice because numinecraft is engineered to be the most commercializable soulless shit ever. Now I don't blame Microsoft since they did spend 2.5 billion dollars and they probably expected to recover that investment but it still sucks. It's always either some piglin shit or some pillager shit and it's very uncreative, even Minecraft story mode thought outside the box more with things like the wither storm.

Call me crazy when I say it, but I think Minecraft's whole building thing could serve well for a mecha style short action game to the style of armored core, probably toned down obviously.

Tbh notch did get bored of minecraft and probably would'nt still be working on it anymore. I think the only way to fix minecraft is to go back to pre 1.6 or what ever the version that broke modding for a while was called and do a gmod.

Yeah, 1.12 and 1.7.10 had a ton of modding support which made them pretty nice. i'd say 1.12 was also the last update where it still felt like minecraft, everything after that felt forced.
