October 1st, 2026: My interview today. I set my alarm for 6:30am and only woke up at 7:30am and had cereal with coffee. I got on the computer and got my journal out to start writing down a preselected list of questions and answers that I’d need to memorize for the interview, as I heard it was an hour so I assumed it’s a full hour. I used my blue pen to fill out 4 pages of materials on stuff like black box testing, monkey testing vs gorilla testing, functional vs non functional testing, Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, alpha testing, beta testing, SQL, and all that other stuff. At 8:38am, Maaenboodhoo messaged me about a software job at his company with the messages:
<May be a good fit for you too
<Apply today before or after the interview

I applied to the job with a custom resume. I got distracted a few times but got back on track quickly. I talked with a few women I met on dating apps before making my bed, setting up my laptop for the interview, which started at 1:01pm, I got on with an ethnic guy wearing a nice dress. The interview started off with some basic questions and then more stuff about my senior capstone project, there were a few times where he didn’t look amused but I squeezed out some answers before the call ended at 1:35pm and he mentioned that another manager was absent. I wrote the first lady an email at 1:39pm:
>I just wanted to thank [interviewer] for taking the time out of his day to interview me for the role of software development engineer, as I do not have [interviewer]'s email address, I hope that you can send this thank you along to him.
I got an email from the lady at 1:41pm with:
<Done 🤗Thanks!
and then one more at 1:48pm with:
<Hi Gemerson, [interviewer] would like you to move to the final interview phase to meet with [Indian name] who is the Manager - Software Quality Assurance. What is your availability for another one-hour video call?
I said next week and thus got an interview set up on Tuesday at 1:00pm, I got off and started writing my blog post, I got a text later from Josippon that he had two frames of me ready from the color test footage that he took:

I loved it. I did dishes until the drying rack was full. I heard of this event going on at 7:00pm which marked the start of these three days leading up to Saint Francis of Assisi’s feast day which would mark 800 years since he died on October 4th (He actually died on October 3rd), I thought about making myself the remaining sausage for dinner but after microwaving them, I remembered I wanted to celebrate by going out to eat so I first tried doing the dishes, starting with putting away the dry dishes but I cut my finger on a cleaver so I put an end to that as I didn’t want to get blood everywhere, I got into my room and played a round of Holdfast. I took my shower and then I started day 11 of my 40 day rosary at 10:19pm with the sorrowful mysteries and completed it at 10:42pm then got ready for bed.

Honestly it’s pretty easy to keep your tokens under control, just use Luna for most tasks, Terra if you need to do anything more, and Sol for only major refactors and vulnerability shit. Honestly it’s crazy how much they switched up on token usage, my company used to give me as many tokens I want from what was essentially a bottomless pit of them, then they realized that’s not financially viable and gave all of us monthly limits.
I used Claude code at my last job and never bothered paying for it at all.

October 4th, 2026: The Lord’s day today, I woke up and had cereal before getting dressed up for mass, I took the bus down to church. I saw Ryan R on the bus for his work. I then got in the church around 9:40pm, I didn’t see many people I knew here except for Loid and his father. A young couple and their kid sat next to me and the baby was crying a bit during mass. Father Ironside gave a homily on the reading for today being about Jesus’ parable on a king who invited all the people to the wedding feast and one guy getting kicked out for not wearing proper wedding garments. I didn’t receive the Eucharist due to being in a state of moral sin but I prayed a bit before going to the after mass donut social. I got two donuts, one cream filled with brown frosting on it and another with strawberry frosting and sprinkles. I also got coffee then went to sit at one of the tables and ate. I spotted Pollux and he sat down across from me and so did another guy who was in the choir whom I will be calling Eddy because his bottle said Camelbak Eddy. Eddy is from Merrill, Wisconsin and he’s been singing with the choir since last Easter when he was received into the Catholic church. The other guy there plus Eddy and Pollux were told about my interview on Tuesday so they said they’d be praying for me. Pollux mentioned studying some Japanese via DuoLingo but would get distracted by its chess lessons, he wants to go to Japan someday, I left later to get to my bus stop to see my usual bus home wasn’t going to make it there, I shook Loid’s hand and then went to the bus stop. At 11:57am, I got on the bus and saw this fat single Hispanic mother with her two kids each glued to their tablets which disgusted me so much. I got upset with the woman I would be going on a date with tonight and unadded her on Instagram, Snapchat, and unmatched her on Duet. I got home and went into my room to hang out there and write. My two donuts were my lunch. I heard a lady come in and I went out of my room to see that Waleran, his parents, and his girlfriend were out, with Waleran showing off the bookshelf he bought. I got re-dressed and then left around that time to catch the bus to this orchestral concert in honor of 800 years since the passing of Saint Francis of Assisi, I got on the bus then I started day 14 of my 30 day pro-life rosary at 3:52pm. At 4:01pm this real woman got on the bus so I went from mentally praying the rosary to whipping out my grandma’s lavender rosary she gave me and prayed it public, I got off at 4:15pm sadly at the same stop as the real woman and I thought he was following me so I made a left turn into an alley to complete my rosary at 4:16pm and shook him off my trail. I saw this AI generated advertisement for this place I wanted to eat at:
1791258902426.jpeg

I went inside and ordered a 4” sandwich there with au jus gravy to dip in yet the Black woman at the cash register gave me the largest size and charged for it. I sat down and took this selfie:

1791258902450.jpeg

It took me a while for the sandwich to arrive and it was 4:30pm by then so I needed to eat the sandwich very quickly:

1791258902469.jpeg

I threw away a quarter of it and then walked to the Basilica to enter, I entered and went to the bathroom before heading back upstairs to enter and partake in the concert, I checked the listing for music, it went in order: Sigurd M. Øgaard - Peace for Violin and Organ, Johann Sebastian Bach - Violin Sonata in B Minor; BWV 1014, M. Sawa - Dancing Pictures, Frédéric Chopin - Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, Johann Sebastian Bach - Sonata No. 1, Adagio, Josef Rheinberger - Pastorale for Violin and Organ Op. 150, No. 4, George Philipp Telemann - Sonata in G Major, Hans-Andre Stamm - Nostalgia for Violin and Organ (the pamphlet listed his name as H. Andre-Stamm, whoops,) Gaston Bélier - Toccata in D Minor. I absolutely loved it but I was subject to these two Asian kids who could not shut up and I knew that multiple people moved away so they could enjoy the talk in peace. I moved also and sat near the back to avoid the kids but spotted this weird broken outlet:

1791258902487.jpeg
The concert ended at 6:00pm with a round of thunderous applause, I held the twin door open with this Mexican guy and then I walked back to the bus I took here. While I was walking, I checked and saw the woman I was to date sent me these messages on Instagram at 6:01pm:
<Just wanted to apologize for not getting back to you, I’ve literally been working back to back doubles at work and just got home
<Seriously I apologize again
<I feel horrible

I messaged her at 6:19pm:
>I’m sorry, are you still up for pizza?
>Pizza tonight?

<I don’t think tonight, I’m so beyond burnt out and running on 4 hours of sleep
<I’m so sorry I just don’t think I would be super fun to be around tn lol

We negotiated something late on Tuesday evening but she didn’t even bother to accept my final proposal. I got back to my stop to wait for the bus and this guy who introduced himself as Dan talked to me, he said it’s the first time he’s been in the Basilica but he doesn’t go to church at all, he had a noticeable eastern European accent and I suggested that he comes to church at the Basilica more often, he walked to his apartment and I got on the bus to take it all the way to the grocery store. At 7:06pm, the real woman who talks too much got on the bus. I went to get a gallon of milk. I got sidetracked a little bit and grabbed a bottle of strawberry sauce not covered in an exploded fudge sauce bottle when I spotted Supersenior shopping, we talked a few minutes as he mentioned that the new woman in charge of TPUSA was inexperienced and hadn’t gotten us a room to meet in, maybe I should go to the rich kid’s college’s TPUSA meetings. I then spotted some cheap orange + mango that I also bought along with straws, I had to walk all the way home because the bus would be late and I started feeling resentful of others. I drank some milk at home and then walked to the Catholic center to attend their 9:00pm mass. I went down and saw Sixes and Oriang in a study night thing and said hi to both of them before seeing Mercurius and his girlfriend sitting elsewhere talking. I went up to pray a bit and saw a woman wearing a Minnesota Vikings jersey, I also noticed Kalifornia now has a boyfriend and the Keralan man and his brother were behind me row-wise. The mass started but I noticed these 2 fake candelabras on the wall were turned on. Elijah and Kaufman were acolytes for the mass and Kaufman did the first reading and Melany did the sung psalm. The homily was about the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, including his father being a rich cloth merchant (I looked him up and his name is Pietro di Bernardone dei Moriconi) who at one point locked his son up for giving to poor people (to be freed by his mom) and then had the bishop of Assisi to make Saint Francis forego his inheritance and thus Saint Francis stripped off all his clothes. I felt angry the entire mass, at how I was just socially worse off than other people and I had no luck romantically. I noticed Elijah’s mother and Reuben in the line for the Eucharist. I talked a bit with Melany afterwards and then with the Honduran, his girlfriend, Mercurius, and his girlfriend, Mercurius’ girlfriend showed off this cross necklace Mercurius got her from the Serbian church in the city. I departed shortly after that, then got home, took a shower, and finished up writing my blog extremely late.

October 5th, 2026: Eventful day today, I woke up at 7:30am and got out to have cereal and coffee for breakfast, I went back to my computer and wrote a bit plus browsed KiwiFarms, I got dressed up in my yellow with hints of green, blue, and white button-up, black dress pants, and my blazer before getting on the bus at 10:45am for the Papua New Guinea delegation visit at 11:30am. I got off with plenty of time to spare so I walked around a bit before entering and getting in at 11:20am, I checked in with the website guy who was glad to see me but said I wasn't on the guest list, but he let me in regardless with a name tag. Not many people were there except for Threes and Tia who said hi to me while I talked a little bit with them before seeing that Staples was here, looking distressed as usual and now with a cane, I went over and asked her:
"What's with the cane you got?"
Staples told me that she's been having pain in her ankle that the doctors haven't been able to determine the source of but the cane helps her. It's been a long time since I've seen a cane user who was a real woman instead of a real woman. I got a gift bag that they had while more people started arriving, including the Polish woman who said hi to me, The Ukrainian woman, Keke, the CEO, the Afghani woman who served me this peaches & cream soda, and a few others sadly including Seth M, I got lucky and never managed to talk to him. I sat up front where almost nobody else sat and when I was sitting down and spotted Lillehammer, who was visibly pregnant, I didn't manage to congratulate her on her upcoming child. The delegation arrived a bit later with 5 men and 1 woman, as nobody was sitting next to me, I got out to let them in and sat next to Werner Ravad Cohill, the other's names were Maso Mai Hewabi, Sam Basil Jr, Casmiro Aia, and James Donald. James Donald went up to give the speech and was noticeably a bit nervous, going over stuff including mentioning the Japanese invasion of Papua New Guinea, the fact that the country is home to the most languages in the world, the United States of America is 250 years old while Papua New Guinea is only 49 years old after getting independence from Australia. There was a good amount of applause and then we went to line up for the food. I waited a bit before getting in then stood at one of those tables to talk to two old ladies who were sponsors of my old company, I then maneuvered myself over to the table of one parliamentarian. I met member of parliament Sam Basil Jr. He had dark skin and was much taller than me. I looked him up on his extremely short Wikipedia page to see he was the son of the former deputy prime minister Samuel H. Basil Sr. I talked with him to find out that he's from Mumeng, Morobe Province and lives next to the Lutheran church his father built with his orange tree farm guarded by 6 mastiffs, he told us that he was training to be a pilot and wanted to get into politics later in life in his 40s but when Basil Jr. was 32 years old. His dad died in a car crash on May 11th, 2022, which Basil Jr. said caused some conspiracy theories to go around, so he had to get into politics (there's a discrepancy here because Wikipedia says Sam Basil Jr. became a MP in April 2022) and then got into politics, he has another house in the outskirts of Lae where he lives near this spot called Mel's Happy Space, owned by a guy named Malcolm.

I got another drink and then went for seconds, which was a tres leches cake. I then got over and saw Joy had come down later and I waved to her. A bit later I got over to where Joy was cleaning up and I asked her:
“Will you be doing a booth for the anime convention next year?”
She told me yes but she was mainly focused on the event occurring this November and planning it, as she tried packing up the tray of cauliflower which was too full, I ate a big piece to help her pack up and I asked her if she’s ever met any US representatives or the equivalent in Japan. I did leave at 1:20pm and took the bus home to chill out for a while. I got a text from my mom telling me to work something out with my dad picking me up on Thursday, I texted my dad about that and he texted me back:
<I'll call you in about an hour

>I won’t be able to call then but FYI I’m free after 2:00pm then.
<Okay
<You need to make a list of personal stuff to bring or get from the farm. Weather could be all over the place. I am working on a menu.

I got on the bus and then started day 15 of my 40 day rosary for life at 5:39pm and completed it with an extra decade done at 6:08pm. I took this picture of some grass:
1791345102624.jpeg
I walked into the church and sat near the front. The young French priest was presiding for mass today and also the Omahan was serving for mass, I noticed people here like the Kenoshan, Bonaventure, Salignac, Table #2, Maaenboodhoo, Zhao, French Paul plus his wife, Adam II plus his fiancé, and Kong. When that was done, we kneeled in prayer for a moment then went to the rectory to start drinking, French Paul poured out $7.99 white wine into plastic cups, I requested a small amount in mine in anticipation for the old fashioned I would have. I was wearing sunglasses indoors and two men commented on me making such a statement so I took them off when Warner told me that I shouldn’t fold to peer pressure so quickly so I put them back on. The abbot brought in the pizza and I had two slices. I got my old fashioned and then went to sit down in one of those chairs facing to the side. Someone put their old fashioned on the table with my chair and another to the side of it, Salignac asked me if someone was sitting there and I said yes. Liseuxa sat in the chair directly next to me and so Adam II’s fiancé started the talk:

“Well, good evening, everyone. Thank you all for coming tonight. Um, it's really a joy to be able to speak to you tonight about St. Therese of Lisieux. Hopefully you can all hear me in the back, um, trying to use my teacher voice. And, yeah, so, let's get started. Called the greatest saint of modern times by Pope Pius X, tonight we're going to learn about the little flower, otherwise known as St. Therese of Lisieux. Her full name, by the religious Discalced Carmelite, is St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face. Now, some of you may have heard of the Holy Face devotion since we have it at St. Stanislaus. St. Therese is the pareal woman saint of missionaries, florists, uh, and the homeless, among other things, including pilots. Um, she also is known for the roses she gives to people, particularly after Frank Harnovina. You may have noticed they have some roses here, which we'll come to play later. Um, yeah, and it, so then we'll start off..."

October 5th, 2026 (Continued):
"...Um, so who was St. Therese? St. Therese the little flower was born in Alençon, Orne, France on January 2nd, 1873. So she lived in the late 1800s, so it's, you know, relatively closer to us than most saints are. Um, she was born there and later moved with her family to Lisieux, France, where she grew up with her father, sisters, and near to her aunt, uncles, and cousins. Um, her father was a watchmaker, and her mother was a lacemaker. And Alençon is near Normandy, France, which is known for its lace. Her parents were Louis and Zélie Martin, and they are both canonized saints as well. Um, in fact, they're the only married couple to be canonized together. She has another sister, Leonie, who is also, um, they're looking into deodifying her as well. So it's a very holy family that she comes from. Now as a young girl, um, St. Therese was lively, sassy, and cute. She was known as her father's little queen. She did, however, have a temper and pride, but she eventually grew out of it. This happened after she passed through many trials as a child. First, she was sickly as a baby and had to stay with a nurse. Ironically, this nurse's name was Rose. Then, when she was four years old, her mother passed away. This left a very devastating hole in the life of St. Therese. She later got sick twice due to scrupulosity and anxiety that caused her to have, uh, nervous issues. And later on, she was miraculously cured by our lady, who she said had smiled at St. Therese one day. Now, St. Therese was also very good at school and was taught, um, in school and then later by her sisters. Um, and she grew to be very virtuous after all of those trials. She had a Christmas conversion in the year of her first communion. She longed to be a Carmelite nun then, just like her sisters. So she had this conversion and she's like, I really want to be a nun. Um, so she goes and she asks the Father Superior of the Order if she can become a nun. Mind you, she's only fourteen at the time. Um, so he did not say yes. So St. Therese and her father and her sister, Celine, went all the way to Rome to ask Pope Leo XIII for his blessing. He gave it, although he didn't give permission, and rather said if God wills it, it will happen for her to enter Carmelite. Now, not long after, the Bishop of Bayeux, where the convent was, he gave permission for her to be apostle. And at the age of fifteen, she entered Carmel like her three sisters. Um, Marie, Pauline, and Celine. And this, um, and at that time she became a postulant. Um, and she was one of the, um, her four sisters who had become a nun. And one of them, the other one, was part of the visitation of Holy Mary, and the others were Carmelites. Therese was happy in her vocation. She would often offer up the little things that annoyed her, and sometimes would fall asleep at prayer. Yet she had such a beautiful interior life, as seen in her autobiography, A Story of a Soul. Therese passed away on September 30th, 1897, from tuberculosis. We celebrate her feast, like Bonaventure said, on October 1st and October 3rd, depending on the calendar. Now, now that we know some more about her, let's talk about what made her famous. Her little way is widely known around the world. She talks about it in her autobiography, and it is essentially a way of love. It consists of doing small things with great love, as St. Teresa of Calcutta would say. Teresa herself described being like a grain of sand, so small and yet important. She talks about how to get to heaven quickly via the elevator to heaven by means of this little way. Because at the time, elevators were kind of something new, and so this was a new idea she brought into the works. She said, love proves itself by deeds, so how am I to show my love? Great deeds are forbidden me. The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers, and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every blantom word, and doing the least actions for love. Now why should you know about her little way? Well, she was a cloistered nun, who perhaps in her own words would say she was nothing in the grand world, but she had an intellect and a faith so profound, she became a doctor of the church. There's even a basilica in Lisieux, which is named after her, and is the second largest pilgrimage site in France. The first is Lourdes. Now Teresa was also a great writer. She wrote a poetic work, as well as her own autobiography. So here are a few quotes from her writings: ‘The divine heart's goodness and merciful love are little known. It is true that to enjoy these treasures we must humble ourselves, we must confess our nothingness, and here is where many a soul draws back.’ She offered herself to the merciful love of God versus the just love of God, like some who were practicing Jansenism at the time. There's even a consecration to merciful love that you can do. Now another quote, and a personal favorite. She said: ‘I miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word, always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.’ She also said something profound that I think is important to remember, because you don't always know who may be praying for you. We often think we receive graces and are divinely illuminated by means of brilliant candles, but from whence comes their light? From prayers, perhaps, of some humble, hidden soul, whose inward shining is not apparent to human eyes. On prayer, she said, my prayer is a burst from the heart. It is a simple glance thrown toward heaven, a cry of thanksgiving and love in times of trial as well as in times of joy. She also said: ‘My nature is such that fear makes me recoil with love. Not only do I go forward, I fly.’ So when she was praying and she was thinking about God, at the time there in the Carmelite monastery where she lived, the nuns, they had this sreal womang fear of God, and Therese was like, no, no, he's so kind, he's so loving. So she said she went forth without fear. And finally, St. Therese is the greatest saint of modern times because of her little way and her great love for God and others. She lived out a life of great virtue and continues to show her presence by sending showers of roses to those devoted to her. So what makes her the greatest saint of modern times, though? Not by big things, but by small things, so we can all be great saints, as St. Therese said. Now, St. Therese is also a good friend. She listens when you need her and she prays for you. She wanted to send that shower of roses to do good on earth when she was in heaven, and it's always there, helping many souls. She's also pretty funny and answers prayers in interesting ways. Just a couple of stories. One friend I have, she prayed the novena and finished it on her feast day, and she had this big race, and at the end of the race, there was a lady with a single rose at the end. So that was kind of cool. And then in my own life, the first time Adam II took me out on a date, he brought me a bouquet of pink roses, which are my favorite, and I attributed that to her. And in turn, she sent him a single pink rose after he prayed the novena, asking for confirmation of marrying me. And lastly, one friend asked for a rose for confirmation about a guy. One was red for romance, or yellow for friendship. She ended up getting an orange rose. So, what did St. Therese mean by this? Perhaps to teach a lesson on love and let her find her way on her own. Now, I'll leave you with this quote, but I also have a couple of questions for you guys. How often, she said, how often have I thought that I may owe all the graces I've received to the prayers of a person who begged them from God for me, and whom I shall know only in heaven. So, with that, I wish you all a happy night, and I hope you remember St. Therese's little way every day. So, now I have a couple of questions for you guys, and if you answer correctly, you can get a rose. Okay?”
She started handing out roses to those who got questions right. I got the one for her parents’ names (Azélie-Marie “Zélie” Guérin Martin and Louis Joseph Aloys Stanislaus Martin) gotta smell the roses:
2026-10-05 4.jpg
And Karelusa grabbed the rest of the roses and handed them out. I saw Karelusa hand a rose to Salignac, I butted in:
“Aww, that’s basically communism!”
I then went around talking to the others, seeing people like the younger French priest and French Paul talking in English, Bonaventure and Salignac talking, Anders, Catejean, and Karelusa talking. I spent some time talking with Adam II as he told me that the guy interviewing me was very proud of me despite me thinking I did kind of poorly. I spent lots of time talking with Liseuxa as she mentioned that she’d be dancing at HFF in November, I eventually had to leave and hugged Liseuxa goodbye before saying bye to most of the guys there. I texted Abscond why she wasn’t there and she said she started a new job at work. I made my way to the bus stop and took another picture:

2026-10-05 5.jpg
I got on the bus and then got home, took a shower, and after some texting when my date said she couldn’t do today or Tuesday because she’s going home by train tomorrow at 10:00am, she blocked me.

October 6th, 2026: Interesting day today. I woke up and got cereal for breakfast. I wrote a lot in my blog and then went to this long-distance bus stop that was a 20 minute walk away. I got there and waited for 20 minutes for it to make its stop and then took this picture:
1791432235813.jpeg
I then got on, I got on and sat in the back of the bus and opened up my laptop to write on a .txt file without any Wifi. The bus then started heading south, it took some stops downtown before going along the highway and finally arriving at the satellite campus much later. I got out and then walked around, first around the east side of the building and then to this small lake nearby. I was paranoid that someone would notice I’m not an actual student and call me out telling me to leave. I walked around the west wing of the building and got past some construction and then spotted this weird building which reminded me of the Quincy mine up in Hancock, Michigan:
1791432235846.jpeg
I wasn’t able to go closer to the police training building due to the no trespassing sign on the gate. I then walked around these solar panels. I still had plenty of time before my bus came back so I did a second walk around this pond closer to the road and then to the parking lot to see a jeep with a lot of rubber ducks:
1791432235884.jpeg
I went back into the building. I went in and saw this old lady at the table and asked her:
“Do you know where the men’s bathroom is?”
She said yes and told me the directions. I had the severe misfortune of seeing 5 hijaboids on my walk there. I got out and wandered around for a while, seeing all the classrooms for different stuff like HVAC classes, police training, paramedic training, mechanic training, mostly technical stuff. I bought a Mountain Dew baja blast with my debit card then held the door open for this guy entering before getting back on my bus. Someone was doing a similar thing to me where they sat in the back right seat on their laptop. I got off the bus at roughly 1:30pm after it returned to its stop and then walked home. I tried setting up a basic Selenium program in C# but I kept encountering this error with imports so I gave up on that. I heated up 2 sausages I had leftover for dinner and then got dressed up to head to the beer night event. I took the bus at 6:15pm and got off a bit later to walk around and fill out the map on SuperLocalMaps, taking a picture of this old busted up piece of heavy machinery:

I arrived only 3 minutes late and got up to get a ticket and saw the Omahan, Salignac, and Karelusa all talking, I went to get this Mexican beer with the red ticket I was given and spotted Warner here plus the Keralan woman. I spotted Von and talked with him for a bit as he ordered a Sprite, I sat down with him a bit and he talked about the difficulties and stress of being a math teacher for middle schoolers. I then went to talk with this woman whom I will be calling Beatriz. Beatriz is hosting the event and giving a side talk, she told me that she was from this city but lived in the county over and went to this church that she invited me to come to. I told Beatriz that I don’t have a car yet but might be getting one so I could go then but I need to check that it’s not the church Table #3 goes to. I asked Beatriz if she’s going to the Eucharistic adoration tomorrow and she said she probably will. I then got seated for the first talk to be given by a guy in charge of a volunteer mentor for kids charity and then for the next talk to be given by Adam III about serving better and contributing to society, with a good amount of talking about his mother who had only started going to church without Adam III’s insistence while his father had been going. When we had to discuss at our tables, the Keralan woman joined us. I mentioned when I spoke that I disagreed with how theologically weak the church I usher at is but I still usher anyways. Von talked about he’d show up sometimes for the girl’s volleyball team at his public school and how he knew it meant a lot for them and even told us one of his former students is now studying to be a teacher. We then had another socializing event where we broke out into 4 groups based on if we supported this city in baseball, the Chicago Bears, another Midwest baseball team, or a baseball team outside the midwest, I talked with Warner and 3 other women but it was mostly me and Warner, he told me he started working for the team in 2021 and was born and raised in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. After that we got done and I decided to move over to the table where Karelusa, Salignac, and Warner were sitting at. For most of the time Salignac and I actively ignored each other and I thought she got mad at me for taking a picture of Warner watching the baseball game on his phone glued to it like an iPad baby which had her hardly visible on the right, but she was just acting like that the whole time. I got Karelusa to talk about Rhodesia his sadness at it’s overthrow by dummys, he’s also heard about Orania. I ended up getting his number and then left to catch the bus home. Karelusa texted me the pictures:

And I called him a bit gay because he defended the sodomic booty shorts the civilized Rhodesians wore when fighting, I got back and took a shower before completing my blogpost for today. I started day 16 of my 40 day rosary for life at 11:06pm and fell asleep praying the rosary.

October 7th, 2026: Preparing for my final round interview today. I got up and had cereal for breakfast and then made myself coffee, I got on the computer and then saw that Karelusa added me on Snapchat. I saw that his birthday is February 10th and we joked around a bit, I uploaded more photos for my challenge to upload at least x photos each day of October, where x is the day number. I had my rose in a mug filled with water at my window:

Yeah, not doing so good. I continued writing until noticing my radiator in my room had lots of lint in it so I got the vacuum out and used it a lot to give the thing a deep clean, but it was not enough, here’s what it looked like after vacuuming:
1791518968567.jpeg
I’ll probably run a paper towel through it to deal with the dust, but I noticed that the landlords clearly spray painted some silver over the filthy radiator. In terms of more cleaning, I got my broom the dust pan, and a trash bag and went to the bus stop outside my house and started scooping up trash and decomposed leaves into the garbage bag, I got it almost all done except for a few scoops left but there was a very noticeable improvement and with tons of glass on the ground that I should get later, but I was running low on trash bags so I didn’t want to be the one to have to buy more. I went back inside and I got ramen for dinner. I grabbed my rosary:

1791518968602.jpeg
And I got outside. I started day 17 of my 40 day rosary for life at 6:09pm with the Joyful mysteries while walking to Eucharistic adoration and then completed it at 6:30pm. I took this picture on the way there:
1791518968704.jpeg
I kept walking and took a picture of the sign that said to look up (that I messed up):
1791518968777.jpeg 1791518968831.jpeg
I got into the church and put my stuff down before getting in line for confession. Lewis was behind me while I had some sniffles so I had to get out of line for some tissues to blow my nose but he kept my spot. Casta came in with her husband and I noticed that she was an inch taller than her husband, lucky guy. When adoration started, I was the first in line to confess my sins to Luigi’s priest brother. I got told to pray the Hail Mary 3 times as an act of contrition and I went back to my spot and did that then spent the rest of adoration reading Book X of Saint Augustine’s Confessions, I noticed Rita sitting with Nikki and also Nikki’s roommate sitting in the same pew as me with her boyfriend, her boyfriend slid over to talk to me, I thought to myself:
Oh no, he’s going to tell me to move because I’m giving his girlfriend the creeps.
He asked if he could borrow my bible and I said yes, I continued prayer and then was almost done with it before Father Malachi signaled for the end of adoration, with the slight window of time in between that and the start of mass, I read the last few chapters of that before I saw Father Malachi go over to Rita, wearing a short sleeved shirt which exposed her ink squiggle covered arms. Once mass started with Jordan and Elkanah serving as acolytes, when we first sat down marked Rita going up to do the reading for the day, then going down and bowing in front of the two kneelers next to each other with Melany who went up to sing the psalm. The homily was alright and when I went up for communion, I noticed that Quinci was gone and after over a minute of prayer that I might get the job and ace the interview tomorrow, I went to Kong as he was talking with Rita and told him about the job. Rita said that she’d keep me in her prayers at the 12:00pm mass. I went out for the social and saw Lancelot talking with Maaenboodhoo as the latter introduced me to this guy and my recent graduation before Adam III came around with spare snacks for us to eat. I went over to Melany to talk with her a bit and then back to talking to Sixes, his friend, and Lewis’ ex-girlfriend, and Oriang before taking a photo with them and then a short time later, Father Aquinas drove back so Melany and I went to talk to him. I picked up some leaves under the windshield of the car and threw them in the garbage while Melany threw a few at Father Aquinas as a joke. I left and said bye to Melany, Father Aquinas, and Maaenboodhoo before running to the bus to get on at 9:23pm. Mercurius’ girlfriend was on the bus and we talked, she told me she was starting OCIA and asked me when I was baptized, I said December 2003 and told her I was a revert. Mercurius’ girlfriend told me her degree is radiology, she told me that Mercurius’ confirmation saint is Saint John the Baptist:

She got off at the same stop I did but we went different ways. I got in and took a shower before uploading my blogpost and going to sleep.

October 8th, 2026: My interview was today, I woke up and had some cereal for breakfast as Waleran went off to his classes. I got the computer up and listened to some music on Spotify for a while until 10:00am when I got my notebook out and ready to write in, I added some more stuff that I made with a Claude cheatsheet and wrote it down into my notebook:

1791752450112.jpeg 1791752450160.jpeg 1791752450205.jpeg

I started day 18 of my 40 day rosary for life at 10:29am and completed it with an extra decade done at 10:53am. I kept on studying in the mean time and even posted a news article about Zohran Mamdani’s whole fiasco yesterday when he was met with Jewish protestors in the wake of the 3rd anniversary of the October 7th attacks in Israel. I just want both sides to lose and for New Jerusalem to rise above the ashes. I prayed more and for some prayer intentions on a Discord I was on. I checked the email and realized that my interview was at 2:00pm not 1:00pm so I studied up more and then got my desktop angled so that it would align with the laptop setup, making me looking at the cheat sheet be less noticeable. When 2:00pm rolled around I got on the Microsoft Teams video call with a White guy working from home and an Indian lady, the call was shorter than the second round interview I had and the lady mentioned having another group interview while the guy asked me about me attaining the rank of Life Scout, (I didn’t) and I told him about hiking in Philmont and the leadership tricks Boy Scouts taught me. The call ended and then I got off to

>I am writing to you to thank both of you for taking time out of your day to interview with me. It's also a shame that your kids didn't get to go to Philmont that year [guy interviewer]. I look forward to joining your company.
>-Gemerson-Lake Palmer

I didn’t get a quick reply back like with the second round interview but I just went back to writing and studying. At 3:15pm I started the conversation with Adam II:
>I had my interview and I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be another round…
<Woohoo!!!
>Still haven’t gotten the verdict back yet.
<But they said another round?
>They mentioned there could be a group interview.
<Good sign!
>I’m assuming that means more managers, not a ton of candidates at once.
Yeah I’m screwed, I eventually left at 5:30pm and took the bus to my old work, the real woman who talks too much was on the bus but miraculously kept quiet, I talked with a guy from the Catholic center from Boston, Massachusetts who was transferring because we didn’t have a degree for orchestral conducting, he’s the same guy who I complained about the H-1B visa to, and he said his grandmother is visiting. I got off after he did and then walked to my old work and asked Krystal then John about what happened to the old wine there and John directed me to it. I got that plus some pecorino romano cheese, nested pappardelle pasta, Francis Coppola claret wine, arrabbiata sauce, a blood orange soda, some olive oil & sea salt breadsticks, and a large prosciutto sandwich for myself to eat, I took a picture of the wine:
1791752450227.jpeg
While ordering the sandwich, I spotted Tony in the kitchen and said hi to him, I ate the sandwich and drank the soda while walking back to the bus stop. At the first available bus stop there was a Black man acting crazy so I walked to the next bus stop, there was a downed tree that had been cut up for ease of transportation when this fat Middle Eastern man asked me:
“Help me move!”
I obliged and pushed a portion of the tree, it looked like it was already dead before it fell and blocked the road a bit:
1791752450298.jpeg
He thanked me and I got on the bus, I got back home and saw Waleran and his girlfriend were eating some rice and beans that he cooked, I was in my room and continued to write plus pack occasionally until I went out at 8:05pm because my dad said he’d be there at 8:10pm, he picked me up and I displayed the gifts I got them, we drove home and he talked to me about the new GMRS radio license he got for the whole family. He and I talked about camping trips coming up like I mentioned that camping in the Apostle Islands would be a great plan, another one he mentioned for MLK Jr weekend was camping in the parking lot of Mount Bohemia in Lac La Belle, Michigan with my sister on it. We arrived home at 9:20pm and my nice cat was there to greet me, I gave her some petting then took a picture of the stuff I bought:

My dad got prepared for bed as I took a shower and had the nice cat in my room, interrupting me while blog posting: 1791752450419.jpeg 1791752450445.jpeg
I uploaded my post but while I was trying to sleep, the fire alarm went off so I grabbed my cat and took her downstairs wearing my white bathrobe, my dad remarked our outfits matched, I asked if it was carbon monoxide poisoning but he said the alarm would have sounded different. I went back to bed.

October 9th, 2026: First day of camping, I woke up, brushed my teeth, and said good morning to my dad, who had to get on a work call. I made us oatmeal as we lacked any other cereal and made quite a large serving. When we ate our oatmeal, the mean cat tried to get on the table:
1791753369008.jpeg
We kept trying to shoo her off because she only wanted milk, but my dad eventually obliged her gluttony and got back on his work call. I went upstairs and watched the newest episode of Steel Ball Run on a shitoko website, the only audio tracks they had were in either Spanish or Italian I couldn’t tell, but I loved the episode. I logged on to KiwiFarms and started uploading the entirety of the first volume of Pride & Prejudice, or 33 chapters in total. I double checked what I packed and then brought it down, got the minivan all loaded up, and had to shoo the mean cat to get out of the car. My dad got out his GMRS radio and asked me what my specific call sign would be as he got the whole family one but his is ‘Alpha’, I chose: ‘Omnicron’ and he told me that my grandpa’s call sign back in the day was “White Lightning” which I assumed was a reference to the Heart song. While I was waiting in the car, this bee got in and I kept trying to shoo it out, even when I managed to get her out she got back in, one time through an almost rolled up window until I noticed that there was a dead bee in the cupholder on my door so I picked it up and threw it out. No more bee problems, we departed around 12:30pm and my dad was still on work calls for the first hour, we got off at a Kwik Trip to get gas and I bought a Monster energy drink plus a bag of beef jerky. I got back in the car and it took a while for my dad to notice the Monster energy but he said that would make my mom mad, but I said I rarely drink those now. I took more pictures on our drive:

There were lots of Tom Tiffany signs out. Around the halfway mark, my dad went into depth explaining GMRS radio versus HAM radio and sent me a video explaining why channel 16 was the best. We got into Manitowoc, Wisconsin at 3:42pm and drove along Lake Michigan to Two Rivers, Wisconsin:
1791753369186.jpeg 1791753369224.jpeg 1791753369253.jpeg
We stopped at the Piggly Wiggly to buy more food and realized we lost the car keys, but could still start the minivan as we had the keys in it, we bought the rest of our food needs and then drove to the campground to unpack and set up the yellow tent with “the clam” where we had the picnic table underneath a hexagonal tent and then we got situated in and started cooking dinner, I rubbed the angus steaks with salt and pepper after I got started with the two bags of risotto on the propane stove, my dad was cooking the steaks on the fire pit but it didn’t burn that much:
1791753369284.jpeg
Dad was struggling to get the pan consistently hot for the way I liked them so I was in charge of cooking them for a while until I said we should move it to the stove to cook faster.
1791753369302.jpeg
We ate both steaks and loved it, the risotto was kinda good but we kept leftovers of that, I also noticed the plastic camping spoon we used for basting was melted a bit. We washed our dishes and then I decided to go on a walk, I thought of inviting my dad but I realized that we’d leave the fire unattended. I walked down to the beach and took this picture of driftwood:
1791753369325.jpeg
After turning off my light, I noticed I could see Kewaunee, Wisconsin and Algoma, Wisconsin from the beach:
1791753369348.jpeg
I even looked across Lake Michigan and noticed that I could see the glow of 3 cities across the lake, which I guessed to be Frankfort, Michigan, Manistee, Michigan, and Luddington, Michigan:
1791753369376.jpeg
I chilled at the lake for a bit and then walked back to the campfire. I started day 19 of my 40 day rosary for life at 8:20pm and I got though until the 3rd mystery when my dad came back from his walk and sat by the campfire with me, he saw this kid in his bicycle go by and told me about how for 3 weeks in the start of June (or July) White Lightning would get temporarily laid off from the International Harvester plant he was a manager at in Fort Wayne, Indiana so for the first two weeks they’d go camping at a state park in Indiana, and my dad would go biking around at night with the other kids there. I asked about when White Lightning was laid off from the plant, the story wasn’t that International Harvester moved their plants to Mexico, but they had a choice between slashing 3 plants, one in Owatta, Canada, the Fort Wayne plant which staffed 10,000 people at its peak, and one in Springfield, Ohio. IH didn’t want to piss off the Canadians and the Fort Wayne plant was built in 1919 versus the 1970s built Springfield plant so they closed the Fort Wayne plant in 1982 but White Lightning was one of the 50 people to be moved to Springfield, Ohio where he worked there a few years until moving to Florida. I got done with it at 8:49pm and then took a shower at 9:00pm, where the water was surprisingly hot. I took maybe a 20 minute shower and then went back and went to sleep in the tent.
