Has any culture ever ritualized "taking a shit?"
Like, you know how foot washing is just generally good hygiene when you're walking around in sandals in the desert, but then it became a significant part of all three Abrahamic religions? Jews and muslims do/did focus on God as they washed and used it as a time of reflection and worship.
Shitting is generally a once-a-day thing. Infrequent or overly-frequent shitting was dangerous or a death sentence for most of history, and it's a fairly private ordeal.
Is there a culture that like, lights incense and candles and really focuses on meditation during their daily poop? What if we had poop shamans that exist to sing or play singing bowls for people who are shitting? A people who have set times during the day where they all gather to shit; communally, yet privately?
No, india worshipping cow shit doesn't count.
