stop glazing a child trafficker
>he said she saidthere is no proof that he didnt do it either
do not misunderstand me, columbus was obviously a slaver and this is well documented, but the "young girl" mentioned in this letter doesn't have a specified age and there's even less reason to believe he was trafficking children "as young as 9" like the image you originally posted tries to imply by twisting his words. Truth is that these things were as illegal and immoral then as they are now and if he was personally involved in this as a governor it would have been a massive scandal which his political enemies would have very obviously spread far and wide.however, in an october 1495 letter, crew member michele de cuneo recounted that columbus "gave" him a young girl, whom cuneo proceeded to brutally rape.
if not a pedophile, then definitely a trafficker.
and it was a scandal, until he was pardoned by king ferdinand.>he said she said

No, he was arrested because he mismanaged the colony of the indies and tortured his workers through the use of brutal mutilation and punishment. He was then pardoned and sent on a fourth voyage but stripped of his title of governor.and it was a scandal, until he was pardoned by king ferdinand.
there is a very interesting dilemma here, because number one it depends on the translation as some of them cite it as just "beautiful woman"the young girl in question would've been seen as an actual young girl, as there was evidence that colombus trafficked women
as laborers, which is bad and documented but nowhere is it really implied that he enslaved them with the other purpose.and children.
...and sex slaves. the differenting roles they were forced to be were not specified, so there is no way of telling that they were only forced to be laborers or sex slaves, or if they were forced to be both. No, he was arrested because he mismanaged the colony of the indies and tortured his workers through the use of brutal mutilation and punishment. and number two, the implication seems to be that she was captured while at sea which would have been very unlikely place for an actual young girl to be.

in the end this is only an assumption. Only the enslavement of children as laborers personally by columbus is documented, there is no proof that he ever sold or bought children specifically under knowledge or with the express purpose of sex slavery, maybe adult women but not children. It ends at that by the year 1500 he was aware that other people were doing it, but he only admits to knowing about it at a point where he wasn't even a governor anymore in a letter while in jail appealing to authorities about how grave the situation at the indies was. Basically trying to focus on this claim about him through mere assumptions is a waste of time and if there ever existed any proof of him actually participating in this then it is lost to time, for now one can only assume innocence of this claim....and sex slaves. the differenting roles they were forced to be were not specified, so there is no way of telling that they were only forced to be laborers or sex slaves, or if they were forced to be both.
Technically. Certainly requires a bit of mental gymnastics to wind up at that conclusion doeseph.Isn't he the bloke who caused Columbine, o algo?
thats not truecolombus was a pedophile doe
why are u celebrating a pedophile?
