What a dummyed and historically illiterate point. It was the new left and the youth leaving the vanguards of revolution that ruined the left. He's only correct on anti-intellectualism.
Truth be told, the failure of the midterms wasn't exactly a failure of "the right" as much as it was a failure of Trump and the maga movement personally.

What would be a "truly right wong" movement and why does it not fit in America?
In the most basic of sense it would be against the enlightenment. Maybe in a sense there could be if you go with Bowden on how he says the most primal definition is a view on the question of equality. Maybe than America could have le right.
America can't be right-wing as it was founded on enlightenment and liberal principles. You could get all technical on my ass and say the initial definition of left and right came from the French Revolution but those that opposed it opposed it out of opposition to enlightenment. That's what conservatism was founded upon. It only started conceding in the 1810s and I suppose that has culminated more radically as democracy has taken a hold and well neoconservatism. If you wanna waste an hour just watch Wilhelm apologists video on anti-Americanism.
