Having been through the first day of an introductory 'ethnic studies' course has put me in a bad mood. This subject and how its taught is as if its some sort of cult or religion. Reminds me of Jim Jones and that stuff. I hate it.

anyway here's a train

I dropped the class yesterday, and since it was before a deadline of about 2 weeks before the class's end, I don't have it marked in my record. I'll take it again at some point next year, I don't have the fortitude to deal with it, being there for 2 hours is not a good use of time. The instructor takes his class too seriously, the environment around it feels like an 8th grade class. You got your neon colored hair people, some awkward ones, etc. The entire curriculum is about observing things through a (racial, marxist, feminist, etc.) lens, about the 'third-world' revolutions, the 'latinx/chicanx' stuff, native reservations need more welfare from the federal government, homosexuals, and so on... I hate that it's a requirement to graduate by having to take one of these 'ethnic' classes. Alas, it is what it is. I don't know why I should care about this.

Also, I found this piano piece that I liked:
