there were more in-depth conspiracies out there. some were scary stories and others were just sad. ofc validity of these experiences were dubious at best, but there are some gems on there.

iirc seeing some occultist one, where a guy went hunting and saw masked figures in the process of a ritual, before noticing the guy and moving closer to him, until he was in the truck, driving off.

Never really doubted those occult stories for the simple reason there's so many boring and vacant towns in the USA, and during the Satanic Panic that's when a whole bunch of those occults were uncovered but for as many as they've found there's still a dozen still ongoing because their community is too SNCA to be noticed and they've got the local sheriff in their ranks
