Baqqrih's Journal

I thought tonight that it'd be about time I remake my old, little journal thread of the Shlog from months prior on here. Miscellaneous writings, writings of my life experiences, or other oddities of my fascinations will be posted in here. "Random thoughts," in brief.

Currently, my life does not feel very good (not to say that I don't think it is meant to be this way). With the end of this school year has come the departure of many of my acquaintances--and of my dearest one--from my school and local area. I have been left quite alone for the summer, and have not gotten over her absence, either. The sweet feeling of my last hug with her still lives fondly in my memory, as if it's a drunken squatter living in an attic (it just won't leave). I don't expect to talk about her much further on here, albeit, for my own sake of emotional stability. My best friend is Jesus, and at least I have Him to talk with. Besides, with Him, I'm certain I'll make it through all of this, so at least that's something.

Beyond my current social and mental state, where speaking about it in much further detail would surpass the limits of proper Christian humility ("woe to me, I have no friends, wah wah wah", you get it already), I've been thinking even more about my sister, and I recalled an old memory of a story my father told me back when I was fourteen that regarded her short life and that only really strengthens the hatred I have for the world-of-now the more I think back on his words.

Whenever my sister had passed to The Lord's mercy from within my mother's womb, my parents had to visit a clinic in order for the corpse to be removed from my mother. This establishment happened to specialize in abortions. Though the physical experience of carrying a dead infant was already grueling enough for dear mom, a younger woman sitting next to her, belly subtly bulging with her own child, had asked my mother jokingly "Not ready for kids yet, either?" It was a horrid assumption, and my mother then broke down in tears in the arms of my father, in that dreadful waiting room. In praise of my father, I would not have been able to restrain myself from beating that damned killer-witch if I had heard that dasdummyly utterance be spoken towards my weeping wife. May God strike that bitch down to the utmost amount of shame and repentance for her crimes, for she spurted out the blood of her children with her actions and then mocked their lives with her foul tongue, and even spoke of my own sister's life as if it were a speck of dirt to be flicked from a coat!

I hate the world. There is very little that I'm able to look forward to in this mortal existence and in these moments, but, really, that is good. Even as I have no good plan for my mortal future (maybe I'll come up with something eventually), I long for the day that I will comfort my dear sister in the heavens. That only means I must continue to suffer here for the sake of God until He takes me to her, and clearly, because He has not taken me now, I am not yet worthy of that pleasure, so all of these solitudinous tears must continue for as long as He guides me in this existence, hallelujah.

The last day of school was today. The staff didn't seem to care about us leaving a bit early if we had rides and wanted to head out, so I hopped in a friend-of-mine-from-choir's truck and we drove around for a bit before returning to the parking lot, talking some more, and then driving our separate ways. I've known this feller for many years (since around middle school), and while we haven't talked to each other that much since our middle school days, we've recently been able to get back in touch with one another again since we were seated next to each other in choir and he recently fell into a pretty lonely state too (was friends with a lot of seniors and he even broke up with his own lady back in April) so we were able to find a bit of empathetic relation in our conversations. It's pleasant to have found someone who I can really, deeply converse with again, as confirmed by today's little road journey with him. He and I hope to do some stuff together during the summer now that it's upon us, so that's neat, too. I think we'll go to an animal shelter this June to play with the dogs.

He's not a very righteous feller himself, as he was even blowing on a vape as we were chatting, but he did seem really intrigued with my words whenever religion entered our conversation (he's of a secular mindset but we at least have a shared disdain for such things as liberalism and Roman Catholicism, and he also had a lot of questions about how Christian denominations simply work, so I was able to chatter about that for a long while). He's also just a really supportive dude, calling me things like "one of the smartest guys he's ever known of" and encouraging me with my ongoing search to find something that I enjoy doing that I'll be able to make into a job in my adulthood. Simply put, he's a really easygoing dude. I'm glad to have him as a pal. This friendship could be very spiritually fruitful.

I'm aware that I speak a lot about my opposition to abortion, but for further insight on why I feel this way, I see it as, truly, the worst genocide ever, in all of history, out of all locations, peoples and groups. It is perhaps the worst act mankind has ever conceived, second only to betraying God in the garden. What angers me so much with it is that I have never spoken face-to-face with a person who carries the same passion I have against it, because I see it as murder, but no one truly seems to treat it that way in all of the technicalities that the crime of murder brings with it, but I'm not the type to pussyfoot around that stuff when it's convenient. That's why I'm even distrustful of this country's modern pro-life movement, as I really don't think their demonstrations, as pleasant as they are with the kind "save them both!" messaging, are actually effective in stopping this evil.

You've certainly heard folk like the Jews whining over the past eighty years regarding their "six million" dead, but did you know that hundreds of millions of infants are estimated to have died in China in the past fifty years all from this one individual practice? Sixty million have died in that same time span here in America, and hundreds of millions more elsewhere across the rest of the world, and all for what? Empowerment? Even if the killing of children did "empower" these would-be mothers, to empower yourself over the life of your child is utter selfishness.

It's depraved, it's sickening, and it makes me so fucking furious every time I hear some damned bitch speak in such a relaxed manner about how she had her kid torn apart so that she could "focus more on work" or just because she "wasn't ready for one yet." And you know what that anger has made me feel? Fucking wrathful! Murderers deserve life imprisonment or death, and these women who kill their own are fucking murderers! You can put the damn puzzle pieces together concerning the relationship between those two truths. That's how I feel about this stuff, and you know what else? I must be a damned coward, as must be the world, because I can count on my hand how many people I've read about who have actually stopped these murderers in an "effective manner," and though I'm a pitiful coward who won't follow in their footsteps because I'm horribly selfish to the extent that I value starting my own family over saving the lives of more children than I'll probably have, those heroes who did take action have my full and utter support, and I believe their actions were utterly justified.

A lot of Old West gun fights have some really crazy tales tied to them. There's one that happened down in Hot Springs, Arkansas where two rival law authorities wanted control of the city's gambling operations. One Confederate veteran named Alexander Doran had previously arrived there and later ended up killing ten men before getting shot down himself after he attempted to establish his own gambling houses in order to wrestle control of gambling profits away from the town's main boss, Frank Flynn, who had been continuously bribing the police to do his bidding all while running the brunt of Hot Springs' houses.

Ultimately, over local politics that led to the sheriff's office siding with a mayor who wanted to enforce regulations on local gambling houses (the police department, meanwhile, had become quite friendly with Flynn through his bribes), two gunfights then occurred, including one that may have one of the most gruesome Old West combat descriptions I've ever read (this description having been taken from this specific Wikipedia article). Following what was intended to be a friendly meeting at a Hot Springs beer depot, talks between members of the county sheriff's office and the Hot Springs police department soon turned violent.

>Haley told Spear, "Ed, I understand you have told people that if I put my head out, you're going to shoot it off." Spear seemed stunned for a moment, then replied that anyone who said that was lying. Louis Hinkle, standing behind the bar, became enraged. "Don't you make me out to be a liar," he told Spear. Then, with one swift motion, he grabbed Spear around the neck, pulled out a knife, and sliced Spear's throat. As Spear struggled to get himself free and stop the bleeding, Haley said to Hinkle, "For God's sake, stop!"

>Hinkle, however, would not let go. Toler and Goslee moved quickly toward the struggle, but before they reached the men, Spear wrestled free, pulled his pistol, and shot Hinkle in the throat. As Hinkle staggered backward, wounded, Coffee Williams shot him in the chest one time. Goslee was then shot by Johnny Williams, who was outside the bar. Williams shot him twice, once in the right knee and once in the groin. Goslee returned fire, shooting Johnny Williams in the head but not killing him instantly. Coffee Williams then shot Goslee, killing him.

I went swimming with some pals and a few of their women at a lake today. I'm a little bit burned on my arms and face from how hot it was (in the nineties all day!), but it sure was tranquil, floating around and talking. We were out there for a full six hours. The only thing that displeased me was how common marijuana was being passed around between them while we were there, but it's hard to find folk in my area these days who aren't puffing on something or other. They're all still kind folk, of course. It's just disappointing.

does the bible say anything about weed?
It forbids intoxicants, yes. Sobriety is commended and commanded in the New Testament. Saint Peter's First Epistle asserts this most heavily.
>Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. - First Epistle of Peter, Chapter 1, Verse 13
>The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. - First Epistle of Peter, Chapter 4, Verse 7

The word which "sober-minded" originates from is the Greek word "nēpsate," which means "sober" or "of sound mind." In its original, literal context, it was used to describe abstinence from any substance that could alter the mind, like wine or other alcohols.
As such, the recreational use of marijuana, also being a substance that alters the mind, is a violation of this call for sobriety, and from this, we can see that this use of the cannabis plant is not of The Lord's intention. In addition, one could argue that smoked marijuana's long-term effects on the faculties of the mind does not follow with the command to honor our Lord-given bodies.

People will see an advertisement like this and then deny that a one-world government is the end fate of the mortal world. Why does the machine know more about this man's child than he does? The detail is slight and quick, and that's how they want you to see it. Insignificant, and thus... ordinary.
They seek an eventuality where our personal consciences will work equivalently with these technologies for all of the decisions we make. Our schedules, our hobbies, our family planning, our values, our beliefs, all united under a single perception to fit their perversion of what will bring our lives joy and goodness. The great Saint Paisios writes:
>Ecumenism, common markets, a one-world government, a single made-to-order religion: such is the plan of these devils. The Zionists are already preparing their messiah. For them the false-messiah will be king, will rule here, on earth.
Never compromise on your religion to fit yourself into something lesser than it, like an ideology, philosophy, or even the culture of your native people. One can still fit into these ways of thought righteously, but only if they are ultimately bent towards the religion. Otherwise, these are things that the evil ones are using to bring your focus down.

I just returned from a school-related outing earlier tonight, and while I was there, I was hanging out with a buddy of mine, where we both saw a lady leaning against a wall. Long-story-short, one of the people in charge there had explicitly told us not to lean against that particular wall, so when my friend pointed it out to me in jest, I said "[lady's name], more like lean-[second half of her name]." Then, we both burst out in laughter. Now that I've written it all out, it seems like the joke was funnier in the moment. Still, I felt like sharing it.

Today, I met a lady my age who is from Okinawa. I was eating at a local establishment after school with a friend when she rolled in alone and asked if she could sit down with us (which we accepted, of course, because it's not every day that a Jap just rolls into town and asks to sit down for lunch with you. Wonder if that's more normal there than here). Apparently, she's a foreign exchange student at another, larger high school that's a bit of a drive away, and she was in my area for the evening to visit a friend of hers. Real kind, soft-spoken girl. We talked a bit about her home with her and then, at her request, me and my friend gave our contact information to her, too.

What's neat is that the buddy I was sitting with actually visited Japan over the summer, so that provided a lot more depth to our conversation. If my memory isn't failing me, I think today was the first time I've actually met a Japanese person, and, at that, an Okinawan. I have a few acquaintances who are ethnically Chinese or Vietnamese, but beyond them, I haven't seen very many Orientals around here, let alone non-citizens.
