Their appearance reminds me of this one that keeps skittering through my yard each time I head out there. He always seems to be sniffing the ground whenever I see him. I’ve once seen him casually strolling near a groundhog as they both grazed around the yard. They seemed to acknowledge each other’s presence, but did not show any hostility or fear to one another, going their own ways after their short journey through my property, and eventually both wandering back into the wilderness.
