/Christ/ - Christianity General

General thread
The Illness is ultimately the result of the Sin of Adam and Eve, God is not the cause here. He simply allows the consequences of our actions and other's actions to affect us, so that we may repent.

And by the Grace and mercy of God, that child would surely end up in Heaven. A far better place than this world.

and yet if I tyr to judge someone for past relatives being a dummyed bonobo chimp noob 1488 years ago id be called le corrupt. how can a benevolent God design the game where 1 mistake (that for some reason is not only natural but pushed towards by bodily urges) is passed down to innocent bystanders for thousands of years? fuck did we do?

I mean if you go by skydaddy made everything then he made the whole system in the first place
<build a playground
<install a broken glass pit in the playground
<let children play there
<"WTFFFF WHY DID YOU GO INTO HE BROKEN GLASS PIT I CONVENIENTLY PLACED THERE"

If you say "he simply allows it" then hes just a passive observer of something he made himself. if hes an agent then the possibility to not include the "torture and rape people" should have been an option because he could just choose not to. including it would have to be due to aesthetics or something, and wanting teh aesthetic of 6 gazillion children being tortured to death... doesnt seem heccin wholesome.
>that child would surely end up in Heaven
if the childs going to be in heaven anyways and doesnt need to choose/repent/whatever then earth is completely redundant. Whats the point of keeping him here to suffer beforehand? Shits and giggles?

That's just something that happens in modern times. Remember, during the peak of race sciences in Europe, almost everyone there was a devout Christian.

God did in fact create a perfect World and perfect Humans who would live forever: It was Eden. Humans chose otherwise. To link it to your playground analogy: It would be as if someone built a playground where it is literally impossible to hurt yourself or others in any way and then your dummyed ass children bring some bottles along and smash them all over the place and come complain to you when they cut themselves.

Is the Child going to end up in Heaven? Obviously, we can believe in the Love of God that it may be so, but Fallen Human Nature is still fundamentally seperated from God, so we cannot be sure. That's why it is advised to baptise children as soon as possible, so that they come into contact with God again. Some Saints also say that prayer moves humans closer to God even while they are dead.

Who gave them bottles in the first place? He made everything book says. If it was a perfect world why imperfections in creation? If you give them a bottle and act surprised if they smash it, is that not any different from putting the big pit of death and being surprised that some went in?

>God is love
>we cannot be sure doe just trust me

You cant have it both ways. If God is love then a child suffering from cystic fibrosis (which he authored or very least allowed since he made everything which includes biology) would get immediate comfort, but if their destination is still uncertain despite God being love then what the hell does love mean in this case? You have to redefine it to where it can justify dragging an innocent child through a field of broken glass and then he maybe goes to eternal torment or supposed paradise (and if its paradise with free will but no possibility for evil then why have the glass in first place). “Love” here doesnt resemble love where you care and whatnot. Why call it what its not? If his love and inherent nature is completely orthogonal to humans, how can we apply human concepts like “good” and “evil” to him? If “good” is “whatever le skydaddy does” then “good” is meaningless. If God one day decided that he will accelerate the great replacement, lynch every cracker, and put a bibisi bvll in every white home then that would be “good” because God did it. If this makes him immune to being evil because “good” is just whatever he does, then good, love, evil, hate all lose any logical reason to be used.
>baptise as aoon as possible
This implies avoiding eternal torture relies on how fast a priest is or if parents have the knowledge rather than the character of the child or mercy of God. God here then would be a stickler bureaucrat who cares more about doing the rituals over substance of character. If he wants all to be saved and values (what we call) justice then why have a little clerical error send child to noobhell?

How does one actually know God is real? Can you speak to him? Do you feel his presence? I never understood it, that's probably why I've never been religious.

I think the whole gimmick with faith is you plug your ears and go lalala and believe in skydaddy because well you just should or something. I mean thats what I used to do a year or two back before I left Christianity. I never did get the thingy I guess kek.

What do you believe in now?
given:
1. no physical, repeatable evidence for supernatural
2. nearly all (so far) facts and qualities are explainable via naturalistic principles
3. adding "God" on top of naturalism does not seem to improve predictive power (muh occams razor)
4. so much gratuitous and pointless suffering for million of years in humans/animals/whatever (which does not seem to line up with all good/powerful God)
I would bet a whole lot of shekels against a God existing when the probability of a God existing seems to be exceedingly low. I could be wrong have have to update my reasoning if statistically significant evidence came out sure, but there most likely isnt a God.
