/Christ/ - Christianity General

General thread
Numbers are numbers, and Paganism has been slowly growing to numbers that are nothing to scoff at. In England and Wales, Pagan adoption has grown to 71,000 following 2021 census statistics (17% increase from 2011) and Christianity has fell 13% since 2011 following those same census statistics. America is much of the same in Christianity's decline, although Paganism is still only at a mere 1% adoption rate.

To put it shortly, Paganism is slowly but steadily on-track to overtaking Christianity in certain European countries. It might not be a threat today, tomorrow, next year, next decade, but it'll certainly snowball into an issue come 2040. Atheism on the other hand is already a major issue and will continue to be until Christianity withers away much like every other religion that merely defined an era, rather than forever. Of-course if current statistics are to be believed, who knows what the next generation will make of it all,
MuslimBVLLS will kill you all Inshallah 👆

To those of you in this thread who follow Christianity, how do you believe the church at large will combat the waning number of followers in the West? From my own eyes I can confidently state that in Ireland at least, the church will be completely dead in my area come 2050 due to the elderly making up the entirety of the staff and attendees.

Will they combat this through new, more digestible translations becoming the standard? "Progressive" changes that'll better fit the current younger demographic? I'm all ears, and very curious, because I fail to see how Western Christianity will get out of this issue unscathed.

Of course the religion will still have a sreal womang hold on a few ten thousand young men, but will that be enough to truly sustain it against the upcoming threat of not only Paganism, but Atheism too? Not to mention these hypothetical numbers will be subject to being ran thin through clashing and contrasting denominations.
Idk, I'm Eastern, not Western
Western Christianity was flawed ever since the Great Schism

my proof is critical thinking? Existence = God, not any specific one necessarily, same with the natural order
to you, maybe. but for me, the natural order is also created by the Gods. a sort of reciprocity was established when Quetzalcōātl shed his blood for our creation, same with Tēzcatlīpohca and his leg, when they two caused the creation of the earth. we feel obligated to repay such.
I agree, to only be Christian because of culture is dummyed. That, however, doesn't change the fact that there are actual good reasons to believe it.
not really, no.
I'll wait for you to start doing human sacrifices then.
others already do it for me + incenses & jewelry are enough for now.

Many verses literally undeniably predicting Jesus' entire life and crucifixion centuries before he came (Isaiah 53), I think prophecies like that coming true are a pretty good reason to believe, along with Jesus fulfilling many of the other old testament prophecies, but I am arguing to a wall here so I will stop.
