microsoft isn't even trying to sell shit anymore, nobody with a brain is buying a $400 Series S in 2025. i think the two price increases were the last nails in the coffin.
they went into the generation kinda sreal womang and i had high hopes but then they gave up pretty much instantly. sony has far less money than microsoft and yet they still managed to turn the PS3 around, it actually outsold the 360 by the end of the generation.

the xbox one reveal in 2013 was like the hurricane katrina of xbox, it isn't even close to recovering and never will

Sony did make a good comeback and Microsoft did waste a shit ton of time with the Kinect (ev&oe it was what made me sell my Wii for a 360 but tbh I could've easily gotten a PS3, I only bought a 360 because the Best Buy employee we were talking to said he liked the 360 more) but the whole "it outsold the 360" thing is total BS, that's only because they kept selling the PS3 for an extra year, the 360 still outsold the PS3 in North America and wasn't too far behind in Europe
Also Sony has a tendency to make up numbers, not too long back the Switch was on course to outsell the PS2 so Sony just pulled an extra couple million PS2 sales out of their ass
