I had another weird "vr skyrim" dream.
I knew I was playing a game with a few friends online, but it was all first person.
I think I may have had a similar dream before, because the puzzle in the room we were in was familiar.
I walked around having this sense that the solution was on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't remember.
I tried this one set of levers, which caused that typical old video game "the exits are closed and here's waves of enemies" trope.
I had a sword/typical warrior build and fought them for a bit with my friends.
One thing that always happens when I have these dreams is that I can actually grab enemies and slam their heads into something to do damage.
Eventually things got worse and I was jumping around rubble in that room to get away. I think I was trying to let my health regenerate and had nothing to heal myself.
I had a bow, but I couldn't get shots off with it. I also had a "shout" of sorts which ended up being my main ranged attack.
It had a cooldown, but it was in the bottom corner of my "hud" and I couldn't focus on it.
Instead of actually shouting words, I had to will it to happen, and there were times when I just couldn't do it, and I couldn't tell if I just screwed up or if it was still on cool down
More and more enemies came and my "shout" and bow weren't helping. I thought about switching to magic to help my friends on the ground, but I knew I never used or leveled magic, and I wouldn't be able to do anything.
Eventually some enemies got to my perch, and my body just wasn't "responsive enough" to fight back.
I died and went into a spectator screen (like left 4 dead) watching my friends fight the battle.
I had the idea that they had to make it to a certain point to bring me back, I even pictured the whole "orange traced character showing through the wall" thing from left 4 dead. But that wasn't the case, I just had to leave and rejoin the server.
I don't really remember after that. I think the fighting was done when I "rejoined," I think that I might have helped my friend while spectating somehow.
