What I mean by a couple of years is 5-6(7) years, now you can theorize about how apple and other companies add planned obsolescence into their products but generally I had a passed down Iphone 7 from my dad and it worked flawlessly for years but the battery was awful tho so I had to switch>a couple of years
That's awfully short isn't it? For a device that expensive. Smartphones have been doing the same thing since iphone 1 but you still need to upgrade? Of course you do. The companies need to make money, the investors pressure them to make shit technology and the consumers gobble that up. Only autists like me complain. Seems like a pretty good system. I commend capitalism.
If you're gonna buy an iPhone I'd say stick with the base model 17, it's actually a substantial upgrade from last year (square selfie camera sensor, dual 48 MP cameras, ProMotion after FOUR FUCKING YEARS, probably better battery life too), all for an extra 100 dollars (or in case you were actually looking at the 16 Plus, for the exact same price)View attachment 49855
