Is there any real thoughtful media nowadays?

Like,if you go read a cultured book,it will be probably decades old,and most movies are just hollow without any substance.
But these old books were centered on a completely different society than now,even if most core principles match up we are still completely different from a guy back then.
So,is there any good media for a modern man that isn't goyslop?
