Saar I make flavorless sugar wine in empty soda bottles Although now I'm interested in making alcohol so I'll probably do it one of these days

I threw this together last night. For now it's just yeast in sugar water but I'll likely end up some throwing some other flavor in there, probably a fruit, maybe some honey

Makes a shitload of carbonation, even more than the first one.

Smells only of brown sugar and cinnamon at this point. Which is also better than my first bottle.

I hear I could make a basic mead if I just used all honey, but honey is expensive so I'm not doing that o algo

Yeah just use a latex gloves and rubber bands or anything

I used a glove for this shit in the past. What you do is you cut one of the fingers off the glove and adjust it on the bottle neck.

I do it with large glass bottles. I've done it at least twice using starfruit. The first time I fucked it up and made vinegar, the second time it worked.

Still bubbles a lot when I burp it, again a lot more than the first one did; this is a really good sign but also means it's not done yet. The smell is also better, I can already sense hints of alcohol on top of a mild honey scent. The pure sugar batch tasted and smelled like shit really so I'm excited for something more tolerable

I used starfruit that one time because i had a fuckton just laying around after a friend gifted them to me but i don't recommend it since it's too acidic and you have to walk on eggshells with what parts of the fruit you add. I'd recommend apple or berries instead.

Yeah, i've had it for a while and never actually tasted it. The first one i know turned into shitty vinegar and i had to toss out. This one was actually alcohol but it still tasted like shit. Genuinely don't bother with acidic fruits. Probably got contaminated too since i made my own yeast with flowers, i'l use bread yeast next time.
