Also 2 and 3 seem better than the first Uncharted, the first game kind of seems Naughty Dog being too busy wrangling with Cell so the best they could do was “what if we made Tomb Raider but instead of having good platforming and janky shooting it had the most boring platforming ever and 7/10 shooting”. Because I’ve completed Golden Abyss and even that has more in terms of set pieces and puzzles

I’m like 90 percent done with this game and my opinion hasn’t changed a bit. I think the people online who’re acting like this game is unplayable jank are overreacting (even the gay jet ski parts aren’t that unplayable) but the game just suffers from not doing much beyond a couple vehicle sections and third person shooting. Yeah sometimes I struggle a bit with cover but it works reasonably well, it’s not that big of an issue.

The puzzles in this game truly suck though. There’s barely any until the end of the game and they always amount to “open Francis’s notebook and see what he wrote” and it just amounts to pressing switches or in the case of the Roman numeral “puzzle”, literally just playing the game as normal. The best puzzle in the game was the one with shooting the two bells because at least you had to think (not much, but still) just a little about what he was saying. Honestly I had more trouble with a random gate in like chapter 16 than any of puzzles in this game because I forgot that I left Elena behind in another room lmao
