on a serious note though i dont exactly think individualism leads to being happy in most cases finding a small community or at least one person to be with is better i only started feeling better about everything else going on in my life after being somewhat more open towards my parents but yet despite that i'd be much happier being with a partner & i am also much more happier also posting dummy shit here ofc all the points i am making are subjective to me but you get my point either way i do agree in someway that individualism is good just by the fact that most of society is shit so if you cant find anyone else to be around focusing on yourself in life would be better than forcing yourself around people you dont like or dont like you

whats the point of having empathy or sympathy to any kind of person that are very clearly not gonna have any type of meaningful relation in your life. obviously you should if you are unsure whether they will have one or not. but i just dont see myself being kind to someone i actually know i wouldnt talk to in exchange for anything but a reward like being paid back.
all that you should do is be respectful and polite with those that you know you wont care about. but never give them an arm simply to feel a better person, do that with your loved ones instead.
