Rumour has it Paul McCartney and George Harrison actually wrote a song together during the anthology series called "All For Love". It would've been the second time they wrote a song since the Quarrymen days.

I feel like if it existed they would have released it by now since they went as far as they did to release now and then. But then again maybe they just didn't like how it turned out and scrapped it. We'l probably only know for sure once paul and ringo pass away.

I was under the impression they wrote the lyrics to the song and nothing else. Likely as an exercise or to give them something to do in order to pass the time. But you're right, if any of it was recorded, they would've released it by now.
