Western animation really did hit a peak under the pencil of Termite Terrace and Spümcø. I'm not an animation buff, but I know captivating content when I see it, and I haven't seen "it" come from any other group or individual since. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Although I think Windows should stay for now because I need it for stuff like Animate and Paint.NET
Skimming the WineHQ database tells me that Adobe Animate works albeit at the cost of some visual interface issues, and Paint.NET is mostly borked. Take that as you wish. You could always just use FOSS alternatives with Krita, which can do both image editing and animation, although not with .fla's and all that jazz.

Some people suggested Pinta as a Paint.NET replacement, like how Linux Mint was to Windows. How good was it? [chudthink]

Fine. Used it before briefly. The interface is very clean but to a fault. A lot of stuff is jammed behind pull-down menus.
