i realized my decline in posting on 4chan (or online in general) compared to my teenage years has one sole reason: i stopped posting when i had nothing to say. that is, i do not feel compelled to post just to talk. and as stupid as it is, many people never realized how that works. they knowingly talk/post about the same stuff (twenty variations of a joke in yt comments for example) for the sake of joining in. subconsciously, since contemplation/inhibition require active reasoning. that, and i'm a lazy dummy. in any case, the external ROI isn't good enough to justify it ig
