>jellyfish dont have brain
>BUT WE DONT KNOW HOW THEIR EXPERIENCE LIVING IS SO THE BETTER MORAL PATH IS JUST TREATING EVERY LIVING THING WITH COMPASSION DESPITE BRAINS BEING LITERALLY THE MAIN PATH TO PAIN FEELING, ALSO DESPITE THEM HAVING LITERALLY NO NOCICEPTORS
i hate when normies try to sound intelligent[sorrow]

Even then, regardless if species like sponges or jellyfish do or do not feel pain, that doesn't matter. How does that benefit us as a species? We can't prioritize the comfort of every other living creature and not our own. But then again, these are the same people who care more about migrant terrorists than the native population of Europe. Compassion up until a certain point.

And their argument always WELL WHAT IF ALIEN WAS TORTURING YOU THE SAME WAY?? YOU WOULDN'T LIKE THAT HUH???
Like... Idek what to say to that...

NOW these are the true moralcaca.

we know that the jellyfish doesnt move when hurt, doesnt even notice its being hurt, doesnt have a brain for pain receptors and doesnt even have NOCICEPTORS in their body to even have a trigger reaction when being damaged.
either way its so fucking dummyed to make scientific statements for nonhuman-animal on nonhuman-animal violence

it reminds me of the cockroach rape machine, we KNOW cockroach cant feel pain the way we do, their brains are so small it cant even imagine it, it will obviously just try to escape because of the stimuli triggering reactions.
but people were more concerned for the cockroaches than the fact that there's a whole ass asian subculture based around torturing

Tho in this ai voiceover video they actually made a statement that it moves when hurt which I think is the main point why everybody got so moralcacaed about it

[giga]

I never seen anybody moralcacain under those videos because everybody actually agrees with it

Itt we build a tower to heaven so I can dethrone God himself

Grover's mad quest to kill God

By making it his mission to kill God, to the point of acquiring a weapon and smuggling it to the Pearly Gates, Grover shows disdain to the concept of divinity and has already killed Him on his mind.
By steeling himself enough to go up the Stairway to Heaven not once, but SEVERAL times, no matter how infinitely great or infinitesimally small were the steps he had to take, and ending it by making Kermit take the entire brunt of his sins, Grover has outwilled God.
By defying the all-binding, all-blinding light of He Who Comes From Above with the sheer strength of his purpose, demanding that He showed Himself before him, Grover had defeated God -- The very concept of God purpose-wise.
Three times had he killed The Father, both in mind, body and spirit. All without firing a single bullet. He had already shown that The Holy Trinity was below him, but Grover still groveled on his spite and foolishness to prove a point, that he would kill God by means as mundane and low as the treason of His own children. The rejection of the gift of Life, the sin against brethren and the audacity to challenge His judgement of life and death: A single tool of murder, the Glock.
Little did Grover know, however, that God has already shown enough mercy. As He once did with Lucifer, his rebellious legion of angels and with several iterations of Mankind, He'd reciprocate his wicked, unfathomable purpose. And so, God broke Grover beyond what anyone would expect.
He broke Grover's purpose by putting the Damocles above his head, "rewarding" him with power over everything and promptly letting it crush his murderous intent. He broke Grover's body by weighing his mortality against the infinity of the sins of His creation on an endless, relentless flight of stairs. Finally, He broke Grover's mind by making him experience his insignificance when compared to the entire span of Creation, so that when Time and Space have no more meaning than a speck of dust, his mortal brain would wither.
Three times had He killed The Muppet by condemning him to sempiternal Death, unending Failure and overwhelming Oblivion. Grover would forever experience everyone's pains and sins, the existence and decay of everything, and everywhere and everywhen that which has been, that is and forever will be. This was God's will. This was Grover's ultimate fall.

It's a strawman argument, except it's arguing something that's never happened before and will never happen.

This is an irrelevant tangent, but what would be the difference in a human torturing you and an alien torturing you? Why would the distinction matter? A crazy surgeon can come along and scoop your organs out while you watch without any anesthesia. The only difference is that the alien would supposedly have high-tech equipment that can beam your organs out of you in a nanosecond.

Anyway, getting back to the main point, what we do to other people is far worse than what we do to a being that can't think or feel pain. Obviously we wouldn't go out of our way to inflict pain on an innocuous creature, but what if a jellyfish got hit in the crossfire? Well then, that's that. It's sad, but it wasn't deliberate or malicious. But to inflict pain on another human? 9 times out of 10 it's intentional, which is why it's far more wrong. And if you can go out of your way to kill a human, you can do it again, and again, and again. Torturing and killing a human shows less of a consciousness than haphazardly ending the "life" of a jellyfish.

they actually made a statement that it moves when hurt
youtube slop misinformation, how surprising... [calm]
either way this is so dummyed, jellyfish are quite literally the only animals that we know to a 100% percent that dont feel pain. noob their defense mechanism is always on, and its not because they are super cautious... they simply dont have any stimuli to trigger it on incase they get eaten
