This is a genuine problem nowadays, but this extends to everybody of every age group. Living vicariously through social media, rather than living their lives independently outside of it. It was never meant to be a replacement for proper social interactions; it was meant to be a way of making communication faster and easier. It used to cost more money to make a toll call per-minute, but nowadays you can email anybody from anywhere in the world within seconds, for free.

I'd really like to learn another language but 1. I'm a lazy SLF, that's pretty much the only problem. I have friends who speak said languages that can correct mi when I'm practicing and I think I can allocate a good source of resources to help me memorize vocabulary and syntactic rules
