I think this is a side effect of people living vicariously through the internet; you wind up having one of few paths, and you either become a real woman, whatever this is, a lolcow, or some other fourth option. You can see this behaviour most in the clinically online circles of the internet or people who make "content" for a living; they can't keep their head on their shoulders.
