Statistically, I've listened to David Bowie more times while high on DXM than I have while sober.

I get it. I can see how if one were high, they could get lost in a song like Station to Station because of the rhythm and the continuous buildup until the "Once there were mountains on mountains" part, where everything gets groovy and you feel as great as the song sounds at that moment, akin to a feedback loop.

I basically got into tame impala before I cared much about seeking out other music. Someone told me about them, I liked them, and I was just getting into acid, so I fixated on them, basically.

I do much prefer "classic" psychedelic rock to impala and similar bands now, though.
